Iran ‘capable of producing nuclear bomb’: Report

The head of Iran’s atomic agency says his country has the ability to produce a nuclear bomb, but doesn’t plan to, according to an Iranian media outlet. Nigerian states arm locals against rise in attacks by armed groups

At least 20 people have been killed in Nigeria’s Sokoto state when gunmen attacked a market. Armed groups still disrupt life for millions in the country’s northwest, but Nigeria is also facing growing insecurity across regions. The military and police are stretched dealing with Boko Haram in the northeast, so-called bandits in the northwest, and criminal gangs in the south.
