Fighting in Nagorno-Karabakh has continued for a second week as Armenia and Azerbaijan battle over the breakaway region.
So far, the two rivals are ignoring international appeals for a ceasefire and have accused each other of causing civilian and military casualties since the fighting on September 27.
About 300 people have been reported killed overall, but the real death toll is believed to be higher.

Calls for ceasefire by France, US and Russia is merely to “maintain the status quo of the illegal occupation” of Azerbaijan land. Armenia has ruled out a withdrawal from territory it considers historic homelands. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan recently stated “Our position has been and remains that the Karabakh issue cannot be solved through violence,” ? Not sure how there can be peaceful resolution if Armenia is unwilling to hand back land it has illegally occupied. There is no legal / historical justification in the continuing occupation of the enclave, or the land (7 districts) seized in the 1990s to create a supply corridor between Armenia and the Karabakh enclave.
The OSCE Minsk group members, US, France and Russia are party to conflict given their overt and covert support of Armenia and cannot play the role of honest brokers and mediators. There needs to be a change in the structure and composition of this group, France in particular needs to be ‘kicked off’ off this body. Macron statement and actions are fuelling conflicts in the Muslim World. France cannot play the role of the arsonist and firefighter at the same time.
There can be no peaceful resolution of the conflict until all Azerbaijan land is reclaimed/returned.

The Khojaly Genocide – the tragedy of the 20th century – was a result of Armenian’s aggressive and criminal policy. The Khojaly Genocide is comparable to the genocides in Khatin, and Songmi.
613 people were killed, 1000 peaceful people of different age became invalid during Khojaly Genocide. 106 women, 63 children, 70 old men were killed. 8 families were completely annihilated, 130 children lost one parents, while 25 both of them. 1275 peace residents were taken hostages, the fate of 150 of them is still unknown.
According to the Russian remidial centre “Мемориал”, 200 corpses had been brought from Khojaly to Agdam for 4 days, tens of humiliation facts has been discovered on them. 181 corpses (130 men and 51 women) were made forensic medical examination in Aghdam. According to the examination 151 persons dead in result of bullet wound, 20 – missile wound, 10 people were killed with blunt instrument. Remidial centre discovered fact of scalping of alive man.
Episodes of Khojaly Genocide terrify people. Antiga, the resident of Khojaly, was burned alive because she did not say “these places are part of Great Armenia”. Khojaly resident Sariya Talibova told: “heads of 4 meskhetis and 3 Azerbaijanis were cut off over armenian grave. Then they extracted eyes of 2 Azerbaijanis”.
In Khojaly Armenians outraged upon survors. They scalped, cut people’s head and other organs off, extracted eyes of children, choped stomaches of pregnant women. Forbidden bullets of 5,45 calibre and chemical weapons were used in Khojaly during the attack. All these facts prove that Armenia commited genocide against civil people, violating Geneva convention protokhol concerning war rules.

The crime should not remained without punishment. In February 2011, five members of the US House of Representatives, Steve Cohen (D-TN), Virginia Foxx (R-NC), Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-TX), Sue Myrick (R-NC) and Bill Shuster (R-PA), have issued Congressional statements remembering the victims of Khojaly Genocide and condemning the crime.
On March 3, 2011, the Texas House of Representatives passed a resolution 535 recognizing and commemorating victims of the Khojaly Genocide.
On December 21, 2011, the Mexican Senate recognized Khojaly as Genocide.
On February 1, 2012, the Pakistan Senate’s Foreign Affairs Committee adopted resolution on recognition of Khojaly Genocide.
Colombia recognized Khojaly as a Genocide against Azerbaijan people by armenians.
On February 21, 2012, the Texas House of Representatives passed a resolution recognizing and commemorating victims of the Khojaly Genocide for a second time.
On January 28, 2013, US New Mexico Senate recognized Khojaly Genocide
On January 31, 2013, The House of Representatives of the US state of Arkansas recognized the Khojaly Genocide.

The only option that the weaker side (smaller population/army/budget) Armenia have is to generate lots of fake news and try to win the PR war and thus somehow convince powerful countries to put pressure on Azerbaijan. Armenia is advantageous on the PR side especially considering the big Armenian diaspora in America, Russia and France. When this is coupled with the fact that Turks always had strong enemies throughout the history such as Russians, Iranians and even some European countries like France, there will be a number of countries which will be very responsive to Armenia’s fake news and will immediately amplify them. We can see this happening since the start of hostilities in the last couple of weeks. But the difficulty that Armenia has and will continue to have is to prove the fake news. Some of the examples of Armenian fake news is Azerbaijan bringing in Jihadists from Syria. But the question of “Why would the 100,000 strong Azeri army, which is equipped with sophisticated weapons, need rag-tag jihadists from Syria ?” cannot be answered. Another fake news is that Turkish F-16s fighting alongside Azeri army. Armenia made these claims but cannot provide any evidence. As Armenia gets more desperate on the battle ground, bigger and bolder fake news will come out from Armenia. But will Armenia be able keep Nagorno-Karabakh with the PR war and fake news ? Unlikely because Azeri side is not too bad in unfoiling the fake news. 👌

The Khojaly Genocide – the tragedy of the 20th century – was a result of Armenian’s aggressive and criminal policy. The Khojaly Genocide is comparable to the genocides in Khatin, and Songmi.
613 people were killed, 1000 peaceful people of different age became invalid during Khojaly Genocide. 106 women, 63 children, 70 old men were killed. 8 families were completely annihilated, 130 children lost one parents, while 25 both of them. 1275 peace residents were taken hostages, the fate of 150 of them is still unknown.
According to the Russian remidial centre “Мемориал”, 200 corpses had been brought from Khojaly to Agdam for 4 days, tens of humiliation facts has been discovered on them. 181 corpses (130 men and 51 women) were made forensic medical examination in Aghdam. According to the examination 151 persons dead in result of bullet wound, 20 – missile wound, 10 people were killed with blunt instrument. Remidial centre discovered fact of scalping of alive man.
Episodes of Khojaly Genocide terrify people. Antiga, the resident of Khojaly, was burned alive because she did not say “these places are part of Great Armenia”. Khojaly resident Sariya Talibova told: “heads of 4 meskhetis and 3 Azerbaijanis were cut off over armenian grave. Then they extracted eyes of 2 Azerbaijanis”.
In Khojaly Armenians outraged upon survors. They scalped, cut people’s head and other organs off, extracted eyes of children, choped stomaches of pregnant women. Forbidden bullets of 5,45 calibre and chemical weapons were used in Khojaly during the attack. All these facts prove that Armenia commited genocide against civil people, violating Geneva convention protokhol concerning war rules.

The crime should not remained without punishment. In February 2011, five members of the US House of Representatives, Steve Cohen (D-TN), Virginia Foxx (R-NC), Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-TX), Sue Myrick (R-NC) and Bill Shuster (R-PA), have issued Congressional statements remembering the victims of Khojaly Genocide and condemning the crime.
On March 3, 2011, the Texas House of Representatives passed a resolution 535 recognizing and commemorating victims of the Khojaly Genocide.
On December 21, 2011, the Mexican Senate recognized Khojaly as Genocide.
On February 1, 2012, the Pakistan Senate’s Foreign Affairs Committee adopted resolution on recognition of Khojaly Genocide.
Colombia recognized Khojaly as a Genocide against Azerbaijan people by armenians.
On February 21, 2012, the Texas House of Representatives passed a resolution recognizing and commemorating victims of the Khojaly Genocide for a second time.
On January 28, 2013, US New Mexico Senate recognized Khojaly Genocide
On January 31, 2013, The House of Representatives of the US state of Arkansas recognized the Khojaly Genocide.
International organizations, parlaments of the world states must give political-legal appraisal of Khojaly Genocide – millitary crime, commited by the Armenian Republic in the Azerbaijan territories.
