Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini has been laid to rest in South Africa.
The late monarch led the Zulu nation for more than 50 years.
He was buried in a private ceremony in the early hours of Thursday morning.

For those who wondering why are there still kings(or chiefs)within african states, simply put is that within some african states there is still a very strong sense of tribal hood(like nationhood)that even after colonialism those african states had to officially recognize this tribe kingdoms(some chiefdoms)so as to avoid any sort of demands of independence from the union state.
many african countries still have these tribal states ex. South africa, Uganda, Ghana, Nigeria etc just like in the US you have the native american tribes with their own territories and leaders(chiefs).
