i am really not sure what I watched is what is really on the happening on ground in Malaysia.
As I can related, there are people who are dying at home, being turn away due to lack of beds, hospital not taking patients in,, etc… wonder what is real here? Even reported how effective is the lockdown when you have covid patients visiting clinic and tested positive and the same doctor attending to normal sick patients, who were also sitting side by side to these covid patients.
Dying at home….they insist go to hospital…unaware & thought normal sickness..and saddly politician crazy as donkey….

I am Malaysian..for your info even cases are rising anyway, the critical cases are very low i.e stage 3-5 are below 1% . Our current PM is still working diligently in ensuring we keep fighting against covid-19 and our progress of vaccination is going very smooth and target to achieve 80% 2 doses vaccinated by coming Sept. The opposition is currently using sentiment approach since they are not satisfied as they only managed to hold power for 22 months only.

So far no countries had announced any victory on combating the virus. At least Malaysia have had fast vaccination programmes. Even Thailand, previously was praised as one of the best country in handling covid, now is struggling with highly new cases surpassed 20k & health system in Indonesia also almost collapsed due to high covid cases.
Most states in Malaysia are expected to achieve herd immunity by October 2021 & peoples can live normal life again with new norms. Thus the opposition plans to takeover the current government now by using issues of the rakyat hardship & high new covid cases so that when Malaysia have reached the herd immunity before end of the year, the oppositions & the opportunists can claim that the success is due to them.
There are so many cases unreported. Many are Bid. Some died at home. Why? Bcoz there are insufficient beds in the hospitals and people who got covid were asked to self quarantine at home. Ya, one thing you are absolutely right, our PM is working diligently but in buying frogs from opposition in order to secure his position. Right now, he has lost majority but still shamelessly hang on to his illegimate PM position.

@King Kong I don’t know what to believe anymore but what I can tell malaysia will achieve herd immunity by October or November based on our vaccination rates just like Poland they had 30k daily cases before and now just 100 cases everyday.. I think we need faith and together we can success.. I don’t like this goverment too but I think we need to achieve herd immunity first before we change our goverment so people can have normal life with new norms

The speaker is too optimistic that Malaysia could achieve herd immunity of adult population by end of August through vaccination. Herd immunity is unlikely due to vaccine breakthrough infections, current vaccines available cannot prevent those fully vaccinated from spreading the virus, and the emergence of new variants.
No country claimed that they can achieve herd immunity with the delta variants and this so called expert should understand the calculation of herd immunity with R nought of 5 to 7 for delta variants & efficacy of vaccines. To achieve herd immunity a country has to vaccinate 100% of the population which is impossible. Basically we may have to live with the virus by getting as many people vaccinated as possible & let it be as endemic as common cold by preventing hospitalisation & deaths through vaccination!!!

Talks always easy. The concept of herd immunity does not happen until the process of saturation. We are facing delta variants right now. Why is it we have wave 1,2,3? We are dealing unknowns here…vaccine without full established clinical trials always a huge gamble. Out of desperation, human beings gamble on “immature” vaccine….similar to bacteria increasing strong resistance towards antibiotics, this covid virus would go thru the same adaptation process too. Herd immunity at this juncture of time, England opens up now….vaccine ineffective towards delta variants….so herd immunity is their hope? Let’s see how it unfolds ..
