Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas huddled for hours this weekend with Democratic and Republican Senate negotiators, crafting a deal on security for the U.S.-Mexico border. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell signaled in a note to his members obtained by NBC that a vote this week doesn’t look likely. NBC News’ Aaron Gilchrist reports.

Look I’m a former Lcpl in the Marines when I wanted to know why there where borders on Camp Pendleton duing my time from 1987 to 1990! My buddies brother at that time work for the border patrol and said they were 100 to stop more than 1000 borders at that time!
