#FedEx #UPS #LaborShortage
( a response to the end of this video)
PEOPLE ARE quitting there jobs because they dont want To catch covid. Or they are being forced to Take the Vacine Not because of better opportunities
In some cases it doesn’t matter What these companies are offering as far as benefits
Fedex was trash before the labor shortage
I am a UPS driver. Been with the company for 22 years. And I love it! We get paid very well with excellent benefits. You do have to start off as a part timer. With lower pay and work into a full time position. But if you can make it into a driver position it’s very rewarding. Not to many jobs pay this well without any college degree. Yes it can be stressful sometimes. UPS knows everything you do on their time. As long as you do your job and do it correctly then you won’t have any problems
Covid-vaccine is an obstruction of covid virus to create new variant, it only able to hide the symptoms after get infected, at the same time to enhance your immunity system to against the virus temporarily like Morphine-Sulfate.
Covid-19 is cumulative and permanently stay at human body’s T-Cell then cause it malfunction to replicate, destroy and spread even you have fully recovered from covid infection or fully vaccinated. Peoples will die in covid one day when the immunity system become weak’1
If rents around 2300 and everything else is around 1500 …. and thats the low end… then 15 an hour is dog food
I work for UPS holiday season delivered 200 250 partials with helper a day
We need more automation to meet the demand.
Agreed if these companies could start investing more heavily in automation. People as a whole will have more time to learn how to do more important work.
That means no package handler’s job
Haven’t celebrated the holidays in about a decade. To me, everyday is a holiday…..at least that’s what I aim for.
My thing is Fedex Service sucks so for. Ok good hire ppl who want to work don’t take a job you don’t like then don’t want to do the job
FEDEX sucks
The true reason why FedEx are having labor shortage is that their old employees don’t want to work there anymore due to constantly being treated bad, lower wages, benefit, bad system and exhausting work place. Now with the pandemic and everywhere having labor shortage, other companies are willing to pay higher for less work. Why won’t they want to move to UPS?
After a month of being with FedEx ground, I quit! Honest to god it is the worse job on this planet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will be overworked. You will be mentally drained and physically disabled after every shift. I promise you that. You will lose so much weight too lol. You will never have time to eat or drink water because you’re busy none stop. My route consisted of 70% businesses and 30% residentials. My route was in the heart of downtown in the richest city. It was tough finding parking everyday since it’s in the heart of downtown. Which means it would compromise my ability to deliver packages on time to businesses that closed at a certain time. The most packages I’ve delivered was 345. My truck was slammed to the ground because of the over filled truck. The most unrewarding job is to work for FedEx ground. Your bosses don’t even care about your health, safety or anything.
I’ve always liked UPS better anyway. My FedEX guy (one of those independent contractors, I can see the name on the side of the truck) has broken more of my packages than not. Every week I get a HelloFresh box, and I can hear him drop it instead of gently setting it down. Last time I opened one, the sample bottles of soda exploded everywhere all over the food. Thanks buddy.
Good job Jo Ling Kent
Those higher wages went straight to upper management instead of loaders. You can’t talk crap to people, run them off and then wonder why you can’t keep people. We’re literally running the same amount of stops as ups and not getting paid for it as well.
Fedex is garbage.
I just started… Thank you for making these videos..
Stop hiring non union ‘contractors’… I don’t feel bad for fex
FedEx doesn’t have any union employees other than pilots
Would certainly utilise these experts again
FedEx will use anything for an excuse for their screw ups
I work a ups in Ohio. The building is not big enough. We need a bigger 1. There a lot of building that ups has that is not big enough for what we do,trucks getting bigger and longer ,two of the trucks won’t fit in the building when I park them were I set the line up for the next day. But we make it work ,,been with ups for 20 years. At age 18 and in school
Unionize Amazon and Fedex. Let them enjoy what we ups teamsters have.
I was thinking of applying for seasonal help at ups. I have 5 years with teamster construction work. How long would it take to become a full time ups driver?
And do they still do a pension for new drivers?
I plan to work for FedEx for only a couple of months just to gain truck driving experience then apply somewhere else
Fed ex can live up to their tradition, late or lost and you still pay freight charges!!
The peakyest of peak days.
Why doesn’t FedEx actually hire employees instead of outsourcing? People want benefits, and a real pay check.
That’s funny I applied to them a couple weeks ago and they ghosted me must not be that short staffed
Fed ex is hard to get into ups is super easy to get hired
Yes, people will choose the one that have union with great pay..
Every Fedex package I’ve gotten this year has been late
Haha y’all should’ve haired me I did 4 applications and I’m more than qualified
I guess it must be by location. Im a Fedex express employee and i love where im at. Managers are chill, so are all the drivers and handlers. But not every stations gonna be perfect.
@Elmer Catalan dallas texas
@Toby hey, you enjoy Dallas express? I’m debating if I should move to Dallas with my family over there.
@Toby dope, I’m starting in Plano tomorrow for FedEx Express
@D T yeah man i love it! The station im at is located in grand prairie. Ive lived here my whole life. Quite city and suburbs.
@Elmer Catalannice, work at the FWHA station here in grand prairie
USPS all the way, my heart bleeds Postal Blue.
Do the drivers make enough to survive in California?
FedEx sucks. I have problems anytime they are delivering a package!!
If you ever tried to work for FedEx or ups you will know if you don’t know anyone to help get you full time you will starve and be laid off after a month . To much risk just to try to get full time. The same goes for USPS. The three companies don’t want to give full time employment
Ask any FedEx driver how they like their job! They don’t candy coat how much they dislike their job.
I like UPS, been there three months I’m in the union now and also I’ma drivers helper. I’m getting like 10 hours on a good day…. nice pay check ✔👍
Just this week two FEDEX delivery people said they were leaving and going to another job. One had been with FEDEX for over 6yrs and although he is a subcontractor, he was never able to get hired directly by FEDEX. For they last 18 months both of them worked 6 days a week at least 12hrs a day all with no benefits. He told me that he is required to be able to deliver packages of up to 120 lbs. He was to deliver a package that was marked as 60 lbs but when he put it on the scale it was over 200.
So let me get this straight, FedEx the employer that pays less and out sources last mile delivery to third-party contractors is having a hard time.
On the other hand UPS which pays their employees more and they have a union are keeping their deliveries on time. Shocker I can’t figure out the difference here,
I work FedEx Express Aircraft Technician. Ill rather get laid off from a Airline then stay here. Horrible experience hated every moment here but finally going back to Airline.
LETS GO TEAMSTERS!!!
I applied for a class b driver position with FED EX and got a email saying that they have more qualified candidates. Apparently there is no shortage
Fed ex drivers are also aggressive drivers on the road. Not all but most. I also have fed ex packages not arrive when it says delivered.
Ups never can deliver on time
UPS is union. FedEx hires independent contractors. Hmmmmmm….
Hellllllooooo!?
Wake up! Union wages and benefits are fair.
🤮
UPS is a career and Fed ex is not. Always treat your employees good and your company will thrive.
Union?
I once called about a FedEx trucking job. Low wages, no Healthcare insurance, no benefits. All non-union subcontractors. No wonder they can’t find employees!
cmon over to UPS
For some reason I am totally unconcerned that the shipping companies won’t deliver my family time and celebration of the holidays on time. The last two years our family rule was that the gifts had to be hand made and very inexpensive.
That’s cause FedEx doesn’t pay enough.
Thats because FedEx positions are contracted out which means their employees arent real fedex employees. They technically work for some contractor with little to no benefits. Nobody wants to work for that. Greedy mfs.
Companies complaining about having to pay people more lol
What happened to supply and demand?
Wow you mean to tell me high wages and unions work wow would have thought of that.
I hope FedEx goes outta business
Fedex “ We are having a work shortage due to higher wages”.
I guess the over paid executives realize they need people to actually deliver the packages.
Lol people quitting there jobs more like getting fired due to vax mandates!
They hit it on the head… job seekers are looking for jobs where they have a healthy work life and home life and FedEx isn’t going to give that to you!
Pay people living wages. There’s no labor shortage
FedEx should sell itself to Amazon. They have less experience but already do a way better job and I feel like Amazon is catching up to ups fast
Amazon still bring packages to ups. Amazon deliver less than a million. Ups deliver 18 million a day.
FJB
FedEx is trash to work for!!
U.s.airway
I had couple of friends worked at UPS and its a great company to work for. I was going to work there before getting a job at The Home Depot.
Maybe it’s the mandates, maybe just maybe the little guy is getting tired of getting screwed over, whatever more cowbell
Ups doesn’t do interviews. Apply and start the next day
Really?
Yeah. All you do is watch a 10min video answer a few questions and then you pick the date you want to start. All on your mobile phone
FedEx sucks.
I hate fedex
About time. Feel the sting, Baby; feel the sting!🍻😂
One side is reinvesting profits and the other side is not
Blame yourself for the shortage you companies know exactly what your doing wrong
I work for FedEx ground as a truck driver, there’s always left over packages left in empty trailers, packages falling off the docks, my personal packages I get delivered from FedEx are always missing, I’ve lost packages and FedEx will not open a claim. On the other hand my ups packages are never lost, always on time. Go figure why UPS is growing.
Use to work for FedEx long hours no benefits get treated real bad not worth it
Sooo untrue!! I drive for an independent contractor at FedEx ground and our hub only has half the package handlers to get the work done, so we can load and deliver our customers packages. NOBODY WANTS TO WORK!!!! IT’S INSANE!!
Yeah same here. No one wants to apply, the boxes are getting too big and the handlers have to also scan everything in. I’m so not looking forward to peak with the late green lights
If anything gets shipped fedex. Expect to to receive your holiday gift in 2022
NBC … when you remove comments pointing out your lies, you scar your soul …
Let’s go Brandon
Ups tops out in 4 years around 40 bucks and fedex has a TEN YEAR PLAN and you go up a step every year but hadn’t given a raise in two years and Finnaly last month we got ONE lousy step up on the ten year plan that’s why everyone is quitting fedex
Worked at UPS for 3 years, never again. Waited too long to quit.
Because UPS pays more FedEx pay you by packages that’s why
That is fedex express which is fedex wage. If you are lucky come ground positions are healthy pay
Fed Ex is so trash 🗑 they lost my packages 3 times
Fed Ex voted the Teamsters union out. Suckers!
Let’s go Brandon!
I worked for UPS ,Strenuous work but they pay well !!
Fedex aint paying good or what lol so glad people are waking up and knowing there worth the best pay the economy dont run smooth without the middle Class
The problem with Fed Ex ground (not Express) is that Fed Ex ground doesn’t have benefits for its workers. That’s a major problem!
Maybe the workers should stop listening to the fat cats in management every time there’s a union vote
all these package delivery jobs are trash that will be replaced by automated systems in the next 20 years.
Fed ex treats their employees the worst if I’m not mistaken compared to everyone else
If the mandate BS goes through then UPS is screwed
Hey they decided to fire over 12,000 employees right before the holiday season that’s on them if they decide to ruin their business that’s their right
also…i thinkkk fedex drug tests for pot (shouldve never been illegal) and ups doesnt .
Look like FedEX become the next USPS for their delivery time
A shame – people shortage (and management incompetence) most likely the reason for why my last several packages out of New Berlin, WI fed ex facility have been delayed. My packages remained (were held) in New Berlin for an average of 7 – 10 days. I keep telling my on-line vendors to stop using fed-ex unless it means by ‘airplane’. FedEx slowboat by truck can also take weeks to get to me as trucks go thru 10 states and 13 diff cities . I would think that a lot of unemployed in New Berlin would love a job if management improves their pay rates and hires enough people to spread around the job tasks..
As a former 11-year FedEx employee, I can tell you that upper management has failed. Their pay scale is a joke, They don’t care about their people and the pay compared to UPS is laughable. After 11 years at Express someone at UPS could start out making what I was making. I honestly can’t think of one reason why someone would pick FedEx over UPS.
I worked at FedEx and had a problem with a manager he wouldn’t let me speak to HR so I quit
FedEx doesn’t only hire contractors, it also franchises out is delivery. Just bad business decisions and it’s operation all around.
