Fighting between Myanmar’s military and ethnic Karen armed groups continued on Monday, close to the Thai border.
Thousands of refugees have already fled into Thailand,
More are expected, after air raids on villages in the area, even as the Thai army has sought to discourage people from crossing the border.

Fleeing to Germany instead of Thailand would be a safer and wiser option.
Germany is closer to Saudi Arabia than Myanmar, transporting those refugees will be inefficient, dangerous and super expensive. Also the Anti Migrant Sentiment in Germany is at an all time high since 2015.
Helping Refugees is a humane Thing to do, but it doesn´t solve any Problems just look at Haiti, Iraq, Syria, Ethiopia, Afghanistan and Venezuela !! Unless the Situation in those Countries improve then you should expect more Refugees

Wait so the military is going after Karens?
_laughs in first world problems_
Stop being Cringe
The majority of Karens are Theravada Buddhists who also practice animism, while approximately 15 percent are Christian.
@the king minn nah, KNLA are christian . There were religion conflicts inside KNLA , KNU. That is how DKBA appear.
@Zay Ya that’s back in the 2000s. Now the KNLA is back to being a mix of Buddhist and Christian. But yes, there are more Christian than Buddhist in the KNU/KNLA.
@the king minn Dalan
@1 1 its you again. hello kid how has it been. Have you done anything to actually help the revolution. Because I have been clicking like crazy.
@the king minn Im glad you remember me from previous videos. I just remember you’re that Tatmadaw supporter 🤭
Radicalism led these things happen worldwide?why didnt they want to change
The military junta is desperately holding on to power, that’s the only way they are able to protect and expand their wealth and commercial ventures. The junta wants to stay in control to avoid international prosecution for corruption, human rights violations, and other crimes.
Oh no! The Karens have gotten together and formed an Army?!?
If we destroy all the Starbucks we will cripple their forces.
seriously, you’re not different from other comments making these witty jokes it’s not remotely funny
You must take your medicine my dear.. You don’t sound normal..
Karen’s an American..!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@Mico Graal well I laughed. There is a literally a video about a Karen on a Delta flight in my video feed right above this one.
These people Karen, one of many oppressed ethnic minority that are subjected to ethical cleansing, a genocide committed by Junta Myanmar military doing crimes against humanity, they must be stopped their whole regime should collapse
What is ethical cleansing?
Or did you want to say: ethnic cleansing?
I am a link in Lord Buddha’s golden chain of love that stretches around the world.
I must keep my link bright and strong.
I will try to be kind and gentle to every living thing, and protect all who are weaker than myself.
I will try to think pure and beautiful thoughts, to say pure and beautiful words, and to do pure
and beautiful deeds, knowing that on what I do now depends my happiness and misery.
looks like it could turn into similar scenes as the rohingya exodus from myanmar to bangladesh a few years ago.
Global leader didn’t sanction nor condemn as well as many Burmese didn’t condemn myanmar government when they were committing genocide against rohinga. Now, they are doing it openly and now they are out of control.
Imagine having to escape the tyrannical military in Myanmar only to be raped and abused by the racist people enslaver’s Thailand
You can’t say it like this. Not that Thais the whole country are racist or abusers.
India wants its neighbor to be poor
just like the Native Americans
When trump wanted to build on Americas boarder = racist..
Meanwhile in Thailand = not racist 😂😂
Myanmar is an absolutely beautiful country. Unfortunately the people had been suffering for way too long, through no fault of their own. My thoughts and prayers go out to all Myanmar people! 🙏 🙏 🙏
You’re on point. Burma/Myanmar is an absolutely beautiful country. Unfortunately the people had been suffering for way too long, through no fault of their own, way back from Colonialism. My thoughts and prayers go out to all Myanmar people as well 🙏
Truth is there’s hardly any Muslim, Hindu or Christian in Myanmar up until Anglo British Colonialism.
‘Anglos caused most of the world’s problems’ ~ David Cameron, former British Prime Minister
Speaking of ethnic and religious tragedies Burma/Myanmar facing today, the fact that the world’s longest Civil War which is in Myanmar, mainly between Buddhist Burmese and Christian Karen (while Buddhist Karen are largely at peace) was made it possible, prolonged and supported by Anglo Clans of USA, UK & Australia, etc while they are using next-door neighbor Thailand (which has a defense treaty with them) as a base camp since in the 1950.
In my humble opinion, ethnic Karen refugees fleeing the conflict/war in Myanmar are entitled to cross over to Thailand to stay, as well as eligibility to relocate to new places such as USA, Australia.
@I M Lovely I wholeheartedly agree that the fact that the world’s longest Civil War which is in Myanmar, mainly between Buddhist Burmese and Christian Karen (while Buddhist Karen are largely at peace) was made it possible, prolonged and supported by Anglo Clans of USA, UK & Australia, etc while they are using next-door neighbor Thailand (which has a defense treaty with them) as a base camp since in the 1950. True, ethnic Karen refugees fleeing the conflict/war in Myanmar are entitled to cross over to Thailand to stay, as well as eligibility to relocate to new places such as USA, Australia.
True, there is there’s hardly any Muslim, Hindu or Christian in Myanmar up until Anglo British Colonialism
Moreover, Anglo Clans of USA, UK & Australia, etc are using next-door neighbor Thailand, which has a defense treaty with them, as a base camp since in the 1950s; from which attack against China/PRC was launched by sending Chinese Nationalist (Taiwanese Kuomintang) forces into nearby Burma’s eastern border closed to China in the ’50s and ’60s.
In the ’60s and ’70s, using Thailand as a base camp, attack against nearby Laos & Cambodia were launched during Indochina war where several millions innocent civilians were killed. 🤔

For honest truths, pls read insightful multi-pages ‘Ole Fella’ comment (on YouTube) at, “Aung San Suu Kyi Exclusive Interview BBC”.
@Young Sixty If you must know, former Colonial Anglo West has been consistently trying to divide Burma/Myanmar into pieces for ages. They have been watching and waiting for this opportunity at every corner and every turn in Myanmar’s history since it gained Independence from Britain some seventy years ago. I may be wrong, but my gut feeling has been telling me this for a long time. Remember, Yugoslavia, the world leader of the Non-Aligned Movement during the Cold War, and what happened to that nation? Today, former Yugoslavia was divided and became six smaller nations, much thanks to the West.
Slavery, Colonialism and Colonization, etc are evil things done and benefited by evildoers.
Like you said, in centuries-long old Colonial era, when the world was under Colonial Anglo Western control & influence; nations/ethnic groups in Asia, Africa, North & South America, were committing atrocities against one another (brother against brother, etc), all because Colonial West pit one group against another, which is the the ploy (such as, ‘divide & conquer, divide & rule, divide & loot’), that were regularly used for their own Western advantages; what they call it, ‘Anglo Western Interests’. True, it’s all about ‘Anglo Western Hegemony’ by all means and at all cost to this day.
By the way, do you know the fact that there are only two nations in the world that have been continuously engaged in fighting since WWII. They are USA and Myanmar. While wealthy USA, as a gang leader of Capitalist Imperialist Anglo West, would go all over the whole wide world to engage in wars, to loot bounties, and thus became evermore prosperous; impoverished Myanmar, on the other hand, is engaged in internal civil war, brother against brother, which causes everyone involved getting even more impoverished and destitute. So and so, this cycle of ‘infighting and poverty’ continues back and forth to this day. A sad truth indeed.
Moreover, the Capitalist Imperialist West would go into the region/nation for their own interest, and then divide and conquer, divide and rule, divide and loot, pit one ‘local group’ against another. These ‘local populace’ that are used by the West or sided with the West, in the conflict/crisis/war, and when they are needed to be evacuated for one reason or the other, then the West will raise the issue about ‘refugees’. This has been the case throughout history wherever the conflict the West is involved in. In fact, there were tens of millions of refugees here in the USA & other Western nations that the West brings in throughout history, past and present.
Besides, Myanmar has had no politics for over two generations; so it’s new for people there, young and old alike. In other words, it’s easy to get fooled by the Capitalist Imperialist trick. Here in USA, the so-called ‘Politics’ is a little more than a ‘Window Dressing’ (mainly used by the wealthiest Capitalist/ the One Percent elite who are ‘The Power That Be’/ the real ruler of the land), while ‘Politicians’ are merely ‘Poster Boys’ put it out as part of Democracy.
Finally, Capitalist West’s so-called ‘Democracy, Freedom, and Human Rights’, etc are just marketing terms used by the Rich/obscenely rich Capitalists from The Capitalist USA & the West to sell their game, subjugating the Poor throughout the whole wide world, and milking them for everything they can. In other words, Democracy, Freedom, and Human Rights are just marketing tools used by the Rich from the USA & the West to sell their game, subjugate and milk the Poor worldwide.
In fact, a mere fifty (50) Capitalist elites from the USA & the West have more wealth than half the world population, which is nearly 4 billions.
By the way, much thanks for that insightful multi-pages ‘Ole Fella’ comment at, “Aung San Suu Kyi Exclusive Interview BBC”.
@I M Lovely Anglo Clans of USA, UK & Australia, etc are using next-door neighbor Thailand, which has a defense treaty with them, as a base camp since in the 1950s; from which attack against China/PRC was launched by sending Chinese Nationalist (Taiwanese Kuomintang) forces into nearby Burma’s eastern border closed to China in the ’50s and ’60s.
In the ’60s and ’70s, using Thailand as a base camp, attack against nearby Laos & Cambodia were launched during Indochina war where several millions innocent civilians were killed.
Like Anglo British introduced opium to China a century earlier, USA-led Anglo clans introduced opium/opium growing as a form of self-support to those Chinese Nationalist (Taiwanese Kuomintang) forces in Shan State of Burma in the ’50s and ’60s.
So that’s how Burma/Myanmar became opium producer 🤔

@Mrs Always Right The OP and the four replies are all bots, they are always there in Myanmar-related comment sections spreading the same old lame old anti-West propaganda.
Crimes Against Humanity.
I’m in two minds about this, while I feel bad for what’s happening these same extremist Buddhists showed no empathy to the Myanmar people….Its a shame really, but you reap what you sow.
This has nothing to do with religion.
The Karen people are Christian…
@Samurai Tabernac no some are
@Samurai Tabernac 50/50
@Samurai Tabernac majority Karen’s are not Christian
What did UK leave to this place?
Do you forget? This victims supported to kill and expell Rohingia from their own lands.
If A Country Playing with Race & Religion Cards & Stir up Insensivities towards each other,i the Country is going no where.
The fact is Thailand always have to handle this kind of situation for many decades. Whenever war happen with neighbors there an influx which’s too huge to handle. There could be about 700,000 undocumented who closs border in a couple of months. We help some of them but we could never be able to handle them all.
why not ? Germany and Turkey handle each 2 mio+ refugees
Today the people of mynamar run to Thailand for refuge, do not think that there will be no possibility that one day Thai will run to mynamar for refuge.
Karen : I would like to speak with the manager…..!!!
If it had oil, we know who would have already invaded!!!!
they have oil dude. myanmar is the biggest supplier of oil in the south east asian region. China, US, and France get oil from Myanmar.
Army is Trained to Destoy all enemies
This army is created to kill innocent people.
Please come to poor india🥺🥺🥺
u r from uttarahand but still u r saying ur own country poor
I hope the situation in Myanmar gets better as soon as possible.
Karma. Pay back time.
pay back for who? Kachin and karen people were attacked way before the rohingya. this is karma for no one this is the same military just killing more people.
Karma is on its way. Soon it will be pay back time for the Myanmar military!!!
Absolutely heartbreaking but it reminds me of how the world works
As you sow, so shall you reap.
what did the kachin people sow? they were persecuted long before the rohingya.
POV you don’t know nothing about Myanmar internal conflict
A military troll hiding behind a fake Muslim name
I am wondering how AJ islamist suckboys try to blame this on the west again.
While its saddening to see the atrocities committed by the army I honestly don’t care that much about whats going to happen in Myanmar after the Rohinya genocide.
I mean, these people and especially the Burmese stayed quiet when the genocide happened. It was a foolish thought to think that the army will never turn on you after they were done with the Rohingya
Bro I swear how can you be this dumb
bro you are so dumb. you know nothing about the country. the Kachin and karen people were persecuted long before the rohingya genocide. this ethnic group was the first ethnic cleansing by that military. these people didnt stay quiet and to say such a thing is an insult to them.
they were cheering on when the rohingya were genocided, now it’s their turn and they’re crying
@Chris Phayao They supported the genocide. Especially the Buddhist monks.
The only reason that causes the rhohinga genocide is due to ignoring of longest civil war and genocides on other ethnic minorities.
This is Karma’s best example. These people didn’t do anything when military was wiping out the Rohyngas. I know because the Rohynga refugees took shelter in my country Bangladesh.
Burmese people supported the genocide , especially the Buddhist monks.
@Raad Siddique You guys have no F….king clues what you are talking about!!! Hopefully you understand the english.
wtf r u talking about
One the dumbest comment you have no idea what u even talking about its maybe you are muslim and all u know about is muslim rohingya go get a life and do more research so you will understand more of whats going on in there.
What goes around comes around
Under same country’s citizens keep killing each other, what a shame. Greed has driven people into monsters
