Rescue teams in Morocco say they are getting closer to reaching a young boy who fell down a 32-metre (105 feet) well.
He has been trapped since Tuesday. Crews say that they are less than 2 metres away from him now.
A team is digging out part of a hillside in a delicate and dangerous operation to reach the five-year-old.

The question coming to my mind is why the rescuers didn’t use the top opening of the well that was leading to the bottom where the boy was to remove the child out of the well
They tried but they got stuck because the well narrows down. It’s 60 meters deep and Rayan was stuck at 32 meters in. A smaller volunteer tried and fainted due to lack of oxygen. Besides, the rubble from fragile earth kept falling and threatened to enclose the kid under more dirt.

Innalilahi wa inna ilaihi rajioon. To Allah we belong and to him we return. May Allah help his parents through their grief, compensate them for their loss and reward them. Rayyan is now in the care of Prophet Ibrahim (alaihisalam) and is in Paradise. How lonely and hurt and bewildered he must have been. Allah took his soul away because it was his time to die. Now he is in the best of care and best of places. We share the parents grief and may Allah grant them patience and shower His mercy upon them and reward them. Ameen.

This young Moroccan kid taught us the meaning of humanity. He united the hearts of the world. He fell into a well days ago and all the world came to his rescue. Today he returned to his creator leaving us with a tangible proof that humanity is well and alive. May Allah s.w.t grant him Jannah, And may Allah, grant his family solace.
