Several members of the United Nations Security Council have on Monday condemned Russia’s moves to escalate its crisis with Ukraine.
The UNSC held an emergency meeting after Russian President Vladimir Putin recognised two breakaway regions in eastern Ukraine and deployed Russian troops to them, for what he described as a peacekeeping operation, in defiance of international law.

Why did the UN not put peace keepers in Donbass?
Here NATO is the real culprit who told them to place troops in eastern europe and attempts to include UKRAINE into NATO which gives them license to place troops in Ukraine.
I am 72 and personally heard the promise of no NATO expansion towards Russia given on TV in the 1990’s.
Today the west is in the wrong in every way, and as usual can not be trusted to keep any agreement. Russia should consider that any treaty made with us is worthless. Our current track record is, “if we get any advantage at all”, agreements are scrapped. Just ask Iran.
Trust is not possible with such two faced liars as we have for leaders. Russia govern your actions accordingly.
There is no stomach for war and the people do not favor the west, even in the west. Also the west backs down all the time whenever they do not have enough advantage to win without much cost. Since we can not defeat the combined forced of Russia and China without our own total bombing and destruction, now we must find a way to look good, and keep this diplomatic or suffer defeat.
If I were the east I would finish it. Why, well because as all of us have seen, agreements with the west are only to be kept when they benefit the west and scrapped the second we have an advantage. In short Russia should go after the corporate individuals that are the causes of the war and make them pay personally. Make them understand they can not try cause wars without there families paying for it. This would stop future attempts at conflict for profit.
