Covid will be flaring up, especially in populations where vaccination rates are below 50%. Many poorer third world countries still don’t have access to adequate vaccine supplies. I expect within some closed community’s who refuse vaccination, and in countries where vaccine access is difficult we will see multiple waves, especially in cold months when people stay indoors. This will go on for years…privileged people in north America will say, thank goodness covid is over! While others, in other locations will still be saying, I hope my grandmother will get the vaccine soon.
Stay safe, get boosted, if its available to you. If not, buy more masks, keep them handy, wear them when in crowded spaces. Covid is still killing people, not as many as last month, but if its you… dead is dead.

Mary. My wife is Chinese..I have been to mainland China five times in the ll years we have been married. Had it not been for covid we would have gone two more times. Americans, and I was one of them until my first trip to China, think that China is the China of the 1950’s….poor and underdeveloped…China makes the US look third world..our roads and bridges are bad, our cities filthy with litter and graffiti…old, dingy and dirty. The cities in China are clean, the people are well dressed and transportation is easy to use as English is used everywhere. The people are friendly and those who speak English will start a conversation…I don’t know how many children between the ages of 4 and 10 came up to me and said hello…I’m 73. Nobody I met spoke about the US as their enemy but did mention that we are their number one trading partner….The life style of the average Chinese has improved greatly due to open trade with the western countries…we have all profited from it. I hope that the situation doesn’t change…let people live in a way they are comfortable with; governments start wars and the people fight them…for the benefit of those who control the governments everywhere.
