A Home Depot in San Jose caught on fire Saturday evening while around 30 workers and shoppers were inside. Crews are still stabilizing the scene to ensure the wreckage is safe for investigation. Fire officials believe the fire began in the lumber and drywall stored area. I tell you one thing I do like and I wish they showed it towards people a good portion of the white population do care and it shows a lot of love about animals and kids that I like about this race I have never seen any other race care so much about certain things did my Caucasian friends I have never seen a black person show love and care for something like an animal in the street for a person that needs help I never seen every time I seen someone help someone they would of color of white and African it’s white people there that don’t have to be there that’s helping trying to help these kids at all these Africans are having and leaving them in the streets to grow up as animals like they are doing here this is a big problem with African Americans so-called African Americans in this country you have to respect the country you live in if you don’t move out what’s keeping you here if you don’t like it
The pet hospital didn’t burn down though! Amazingly the fire contained itself within the Home Depot store. The walls of the Home Depot contained it all, pretty amazing.
Also firefighters doused the pet hospital with water to contain it.

As an Orange Apron I’m thankful that everyone was safely evacuated. Working in these large warehouse settings can be a dangerous undertaking given the plethora of materials and chemicals in the building. I’m shocked by this.

This building looks like it went up in smoke in a very short time. I would assume, any building of this size, open to the public, especially with sheetrock, wood, plastics, and highly flammable building materials, would be mandatory to have a working fire suppression system. Sprinkler system, etc.

I hope they find out the cause of this massive blaze and that they are able to rebuild that store.
They probably won’t rebuild it. A VP of Home Depot was in the area recently said that the store was leased and there are currently no plans to rebuild it. Plus, it was one of the oldest and smaller Home Depot stores in the country, even 20 years ago. There are two other locations here that are within 10 minutes of this store. It was obsolete. Still, it was my location of choice whenever I needed anything from Home Depot.
