So lets start here: I’ve noticed there’s just a strong entrepreneur mentality of “just get money” that gets thrown around a lot. It’s basically this notion that relationships are a waste of time, it’s a distraction, etc.
And I’m not here to criticize anyone’s choices and if that’s something they LIVE BY – but when it comes to me, personally, there’s no way I’d be here today if it wasn’t for the support of several past relationships I’ve had.
If you feel like having a relationship would be distracting from your career, or you you don’t have time for it…then chances are, you’re right, and it’s important to have the self awareness to realize that.
But…if you DO find a healthy balance between having a relationship and building a business at the same time, I’m 100% all for it. If both people are understanding of the situation and support each other, then that’s all you can ask for…it NEVER needs to be a decision of one or the other like so many people paint it out to be.

I wish. I spent so much time working on being OK alone that I don’t feel as comfortable dating anymore. It really sucks, too, since my biggest dream is to get married and have a family. The biggest reason I want to get rich is so I can give my wife and kids a good life with good schools in a good community. I’ve spent so many years believing the idea that “love always comes when you’re not looking” that I passed up on opportunities and ultimately ended up alone. It sucks, because I was so much happier when I was dedicating my whole life to being in a relationship, but now I really don’t know how to anymore.
Same LunarX, same. I find that this mantra is kinda ripping the dating scene up for me. People are so self involved (including myself) that no one is eager to just even try.

My wife and my children made me want not to work for years and years. Working on financial independance is a way to be free… Not in order to buy a tesla but to be able to spend more time with them. For me family is a motivation to reach my goals.

Omg that whole first break up story is exactly what happened to me I’ve been working so much since May of last year and next month is may. I was using it as a distraction and everything 😂
I’ve just found this chap in the last few days, and this is about the fourth or fifth video I’ve watched; the combined effect in culmination when arriving at this one just now from the others, is the thought that when Graham feels that way inclined toward someone – he’ll likely be a kickass partner. His awareness of self, and that that has a consequence on what he is able to give of himself (actual/non-material) in terms of time/effort/units of mind-time to others shows that. And that same mindset likely ensures that he recognises when and if those things are present or devoid incoming, in reciprocity from others, so I find it unlikely his state of being would have much aligned with the mindset of a ‘gold-digger’ (the way he says the term in this in itself I found/find amusing; superficially constructed term borne of, and created in, complex, long-standing and deeply indoctrinated views of and subscriptions to, socially constructed ideas that span social, economical and psychological fields amongst many). Anywho, that’s enough of this consciousness in waffle-format at and to the ether 🙄😂🙌🏼 (aren’t our brains’ incredible 😁). Someone that does not utilise the construct that is money, to embolden narcissism, in order to erroneously project an idea that they themselves as a dying mammal in a relatively short life, in and of themselves as human beings, are ‘good’, ‘better’ or ‘more’ than others, simply by virtue of the numerical count of that man-made, not-the-self-at-all construct. He seems to grasp that at the core, hierarchal social structure simply prevents access to everyone who is equally human, in order for itself’ to exist, and that that is access that he wants (objects/materials/medical and technical services/opportunities etc). I started my own business at 27 and Now I’m worth millions and make hundreds of thousands a year. I can’t imagine my life without my kids and grandchildren. I’ve been snooping a few MGTOW YouTubers. 99% comments are women bashing and telling people to stay single. I really like Graham’s attitude. If a guy would be on guard about women, Graham could be one. However, I really like what he said in this video about his POV about being financially successful and dating. Then again, it takes a lot of introspection and life smart to read people. I find that those who got taken by gold diggers are basically not that smart about reading people. I’ve never dated shallow guys or guys not financially responsible because like minded people congregate. My best friends are also financially aware and savvy. Yes, I think you’re right on. One must project confidence to be attractive. That is a huge challenge. Far more difficult than inventing new physics, writing new code, or designing new semiconductors. The reason is that Nature doesn’t care how you feel when you deal with it. Physics doesn’t care whether you have confidence to solve an engineering problem. It only cares that you achieve the skill to do so. People do. And it’s really hard to conceal how you feel.

Great video!! If you are looking for the right attributes in a partner, you will find someone who doesn’t care how rich you are.
Say what you will but at the end of the day dating tends to be more expensive for guys which makes it hard to get a girl when you’re focused on saving early in ur life because the majority of girls want guys to ask them out which means “you pay for dinner since you invited me which means you pay for everything else too.” If you don’t it’s seen as a bad quality in a guy and you probably won’t get a second date “how dare you ask me out then want to split the bill,” so yeah wonder why most guys see girls as gold diggers. Obviously girls don’t just care about how many 0’s you have in your bank account but at the same time girls can go out on dates completely free while guys are expected to be the ones paying like how you paid for the tickets for Savannah and probably other stuff on the first date and if you don’t that affects the outcome of the date while that just doesn’t happen with girls.

Also the argument that people avoid relationships to build wealth is not really a lack of finding a girlfriend, because most men are invisible to woman straight up. Men are heavily judged based on what they can provide and if you cant then you better be tall and good looking or just hope to win the lottery unicorn girl.
