UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has held a face-to-face meeting in Moscow with Russia’s president.
It is the first time the UN chief has visited Russia since the war in Ukraine began.
Guterres has offered direct UN assistance with the safe evacuation of the Azovstal plant in the besieged Ukrainian city of Mariupol where at least a thousand civilians remain trapped.
President Putin has called what’s unfolding in Mariupol a difficult and tragic situation, and said he hoped talks with Ukraine would yield positive results.

Why are the Solomon islands prohibited from making their own agreements? Why is Israel still have problems with Lebanon as of two days ago? Why is there talk of nuclear arms to Poland and Germany vis a vis F35 aircraft capable of nuclear munitions and the B61 nuclear capable bombs to Poland for “protection” giving the first strike capability?
There more but at this point the UN is unable to act independently of western influence this making it rather useless. Wouldn’t you agree?
