Large wildfires grow across New Mexico, forcing thousands to evacuate. Two fires that merged into one giant blaze torched over 100,000 acres. Now 4 million people in four states are under red flag warnings or fire watches.

Global warming too.many billionnaire
¡Chimichanga!
Or spicy mayonnaise
.
We have to change the way we all live. We have to be more Substantable. No grass lawns, you should have wild flowers or grow food. Growing Grass is irresponsible
@John Watt – Ok. So what is your point? Geoengineering is real. Ever hear of cloud seeding? That’s old school compared to what tech they have now.
But in speaking of cloud seeding, how come the powers that be haven’t gone that route in California or New Mexico? It’s all by design & planned!
If you don’t like grass you can go live on the moon
I actually do not believe in having lawns especially in an arid place, but wild grasses grow everywhere. How in the world are you going to stop that??
@Sheree Sheree Conspiracy freak alert! Lookout, we got a weirdo.
Yea, see but we r literally in or on a mountain 🤷
That dude is so fired
this is so sad. I love that state.
@Seer So you like news of people having to evacuate from massive fires and extreme drought conditions?
@Aymara Fan no, but I like karma. You reap what you sow. What goes around comes around. For every action there is a reaction.
@Seer what does karma have to do with a wild fire?
@Shadow everything
There is no such thing as a “controlled burn” in the forest. Mother Earth is crying at what the american settlers have done.
@John Watt They all used burning. The Peshtigo Fire was started by burning.
Yes the controlled burns are there to burn away any possible dried yo vegetation or objects that can catch ablaze and to create a barrier that won’t ignite once the raging flames get near however with recent tornados and unexpected winds that have hit the state. Those burns happen to be a problem instead of the solution. I pray for our hot shot crews and folks living in our north part of the state affected by these flames.
@J Potato you do realize that high winds hit the state every year at spring time, right? This isn’t a new phenomenon.
My SON will speak and his voice will be heard as wind, fire and storm for those that can hear him.
The heathen shall be deaf in this last time period.
Its “you’re all sinners”…if you’re going to speak for a non existent God, at least get the grammar right, pal.
For our God is a consuming fire. Hebrews 12:29 KJV
How do charcoal briquettes feature in your scenario?
Oh the lawsuit 😱
lost my home and Everything ,but i thank god for our lives..What let the fire burn your home? lets see, well god controls the weather and everything like your lives, rain, wind, and the fire that destroyed your home in that case.
I’m so sorry. I live here to and it’s catastrophic. Much love to you and your family from a fellow NM.
@Michelle M Michelle, the commenter is mocking God and the person in the video.
As a resident from the State of the Burning Sun, let me tell you all something.
You ain’t seen nothing yet.
California and New Mexico are sadly becoming inhabitable due to drought and fire 🙁 The South and East are constantly barraged with Tornados and torrential rains. We can no longer deny the effects of Climate Change 🙁
@Media Monarchy We have long ago implemented consuming less. Use rain water, only electric for minimal lights and one fridg which is turned off for two six hour intervals, bare minimal heat, two grocery store trips a month, no endless remodeling up grades, plant garden, buy local from Amish, hand wash some things in rain water, turn off pumps, plant trees and allow growth, no mowing or pesticides, herbicides nor industrial fertilizers, no trips, no flying, help maintain song birds and wildlife with feeding and habitat, flush with rain or grey water, don’t buy crap you don’t absolutely need and buy used …. There is a massive amount of things humans can easily do to conserve for our planet’s ecosystem to survive longer.
@Amy Renee Amy we wish you well. The adverse effects of global warming and over consumption fall mainly on underdeveloped countries with populations who have not contributed to global climate mayhem. Having children is a blessing yet one of the worst impacts on our mother earth womb of all living things which sustain life.
@Wildland_Firefighter yes, exactly. Although this fire was set as a burn, and we had enormous winds. The governor hasn’t stated as much (she is angry, someone’s job is on the cutting board, since this has grown into many fires here now). Sad.
@Koi Caine Koirala, 👍…the idiots did this during a high wind advisory! Heads are rolling here, and we want to see big boss fired*
When I they going to learn…a prescribed burn now burning out of control way to go fire department. The Colorado tried the same bs years ago nearly burning an entire town down along with the forest. You may want to try a controlled cut in winter.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣They setting fires on purpose, “the zombies”🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣!!!!!!!!
@Steve Smith what Satan and zombie???
@Travis Green Satan the dragon and the zombies that’s under him, which is everyone! Everyone is born in the system just like in the Matrix!
@Steve Smith Hollywood has been showing us OUR future since the inception of film. Only a few are able to discern the messages within the messages.
@Jim Canavan You should watch the first commercial film shown across America,
the one where the American government build movie theaters for the public. “Birth of a Nation”.
And yes, the Ku Klux Klan played a big role.
I just wish it was the whole world burning
Where’s all the anti-Californians saying “California is Burning!”
So so sad. This is such a beautiful area, my gosh. Pray for everyone. We need to pray for rain.
Looks even more beautiful with the flames turning everything into ashes
@Seer It reminds me of North Vietnam when Americans were fire-bombing it to the ground.
@John Watt fortunately for some and unfortunately for others, what goes around comes around.
Government issued 🤬. I feel for the residents, but…
Luke 21:11-12
“Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines and pestilences. And fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.” ~Jesus
2 Esdras 9: 1-13
“Consider all these things very carefully. When you see that some of the signs I have told you about have appeared, you will know that the time has come when God Most High will bring judgment on the world he has created.
There will be earthquakes, national rebellions, international intrigues, unstable leaders, and confused rulers. When you see these things happening, you will know that they are what God Most High has spoken about since the beginning of creation.
The beginning and the end of everything that happens in this world are clear. The same is true in the world above: wonders and miracles show the beginning of events, and mighty signs show when they end.
“Some people will escape destruction and be saved by their good works and by their faith. All of them will survive the dangers I have described and will enjoy the salvation provided in the land that I have set apart from eternity as my own.
Then those who have ignored my ways and held them in contempt will be surprised when they find themselves in continual torment. This will include all those who ignored me while they were alive, even though they accepted the blessings I gave them. It will include all those who scorned my Law during the time they were free to do so and all those who refused to repent while they still had the chance.
The torment they will have to suffer after death will force them to recognize the truth.
Therefore, Ezra, you should stop asking questions about how the wicked will be punished. Instead, be concerned about how and when the righteous will be saved.
The world was created for them and belongs to them.”
Joel 2:1-11
“Blow the ram’s horn in Zion; sound the alarm on My holy mountain! Let all who dwell in the land tremble, for the Day of the LORD is coming; indeed, it is near—a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness. Like the dawn overspreading the mountains a great and strong army appears, such as never was of old, nor will ever be in ages to come.
Before them a fire devours, and behind them a flame scorches. The land before them is like the Garden of Eden, but behind them, it is like a desert wasteland—surely nothing will escape them.
Their appearance is like that of horses, and they gallop like swift steeds. With a sound like that of chariots they bound over the mountaintops, like the crackling of fire consuming stubble, like a mighty army deployed for battle. Nations writhe in horror before them; every face turns pale.
They charge like mighty men; they scale the walls like men of war. Each one marches in formation, not swerving from the course. They do not jostle one another; each proceeds in his path. They burst through the defenses, never breaking ranks.
They storm the city; they run along the wall; they climb into houses, entering through windows like thieves. Before them the earth quakes; the heavens tremble. The sun and moon grow dark, and the stars lose their brightness.
he LORD raises His voice in the presence of His army. Indeed, His camp is very large, for mighty are those who obey His command.
*For the Day of the LORD is great and very dreadful. Who can endure it?* “
Amen. There will be a peace, and then sudden destruction shall come so they cannot escape.
@They Close Channels That Speak The Truth
Matthew 24:37-44
“As it was in the days of Noah, so will it be at the coming of the Son of Man.
For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark. And they were oblivious, until the flood came and swept them all away. So will it be at the coming of the Son of Man.
Two men will be in the field: one will die and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will die and the other left.
Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day on which your Lord will come. But understand this: If the homeowner had known in which watch of the night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into.
For this reason, you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour you do not expect.” ~Jesus
It’s so Cold in DENVER 40 today then I’m hearing a fire cast Saturday SUNDAY 🌹🎂 💸 80+ 90.
We have to change one way or another .
Make your home firewise.
Mother Nature will always make the necessary changes, but you won’t like the way she does it!
Intentional fire
what about animals
They are setting up shelters and places 4 horses but there are so many.
My bf is a firefighter out there and says there’s unfortunately a lot of little critters and animals that don’t make it out 🥺
@BreakingTheGrid_OnYou That’s so sad. 😢
My friend got a moving truck yesterday. We filled it as fast as we could
I live in New Mexico and I have never seen such hazy weather over Albuquerque ever before. This is so awful. We hear about California fires all the time (and sometimes get way more coverage then fires we have) and to start seeing it making national news hurts so much! Last April we had no rain at all but the last previous years we decent amount and now there seems to be no moisture in sight. :/
@Wd B So is forest mismanagement the trigger that starts a wildfire? Just because the forest is unkempt does not make it a part of the ignition event. What does is, you guessed it, extreme weather conditions that make normally safe activities like prescribed burns or natural events like lightning even more hazardous, contributing to a wildfire’s frequency, duration and strength.
I’m here too, and worry. I’ve got properties in Santa Fe, and our home in N Abq.. I do believe a watery shift will happen this summer, marking 5 years since we had week of flooding, torrential pouring rain in September 2017. The shift occurs about every 5 to 6 years. 🙏 🙏 🙏
@Scott Tracy. Wrong! You don’t get it. An “unkept” forest as you call it results in additional fuel loading which results in larger and more devastating fires.
@Wd B Wrong! You absolutely do not get it. It is ‘unkempt’ by the by lol. Read a dictionary. It matters not one iota how much fuel is in the forest when it comes to the ignition event. You did not even comprehend what I was saying. Once the fire starts, sure, fuel loading is an issue. But it has zilch to do with what started the fire to begin with bud. Take your overt misinformation elsewhere, we’re all full up here LOL!!!
@brandy morgan It will likely take another extreme event to knock the present extreme event out of the way. That’s the way of climate change. So you may be right, rain may be in the forecast down the road this year, and lots of it.
praise our LORD 🌋 thank you for being our savior jesus Christ
Your thanking God for wild fires?
@Master Roshi I see you got “God” out of that. I thought of an English Lord right away.
@John Watt – This is happening in America! After 1776, why would anyone automatically default to “English Lord?”
Same here in Clovis New Mexico. We had a horrible fire a couple days ago. Too dry and windy. Our State desperately needs rain…😭💔
It was crazy driving to Clovis and seeing the old blackwater museum burning down
But Clovis has no forest
@Ben, but they have grasslands and they burn too, sometimes at a much faster rate than a forest.
@Wd B yes I understand maybe I was thinking differently like about all those trees took years and years to grow..now they’re gone 😭…either way fires are bad no matter what kind of land
@Shrimpchris Isn’t that museum between Portales and Clovis?
World end bye 🔥 🔥
If I could I would gladly give you rain from Minnesota!!! It’s been a real wet April and North West Minnesota is having flooding issues due to rapid snow melt and to much rain!!! I would like nothing better than to send our excess moisture down to you to stop those fires!!!🙏
Thanks
We’ll need a Tsunami just to catch up!
Instead of oil pipelines, it would be so nice to have water pipe lines from those places. Thank you for your kind thoughts. I live in New Mexico and it has been awful smoky and have respiratory issues. My friend is in Oklahoma city and they are having great rain storms with rolling thunder. I miss it so much. I grew up in Texas and I miss the beautiful storms. But I do love New Mexico and the sunshine. I just don’t know what to do.
Thank you we appreciate it that pray for NM
@Isaiah Rascon The people of your state are in my thoughts and prayers!!! I just wish the whole country would be able to enjoy a nice spring!!! Also wish there was a way to pipe down some of our overabundant water to you!!! I’d do it in a heatbeat!!!
Is the district ranger responsible for this monster out helping fight it? Helping evacuees? Or is he sitting on his worthless fat butt sucking down beers?

Wah wah springs baby sorry for ur losses
Any professional firefighter should know never to do a controlled burn during the months of high winds
That’s too much common sense, but accurate and true none-the-less!
@Wd B I guess?
@Tony Diamond Those rumors have an element of truth particularly if they are locals.
@Tony Diamond It’s just sad that if one of the fires was supposed to be a controlled fire that got out of control N started by the fire Dept? Just sad that some people’s loss of a home as a result of the Actual fire department started the Fire? Hopefully the home owners had Insurance too?
That is so tragic. I pray they can get it under control and for all those affected.
Dear NBC news. This fire merged at least a week ago. Please send help and rain
The lowest educated state run into the ground by democrats had the brilliant idea of prescribed burns during the windy season.
This is what happens when you steal the election and remove trump
Stay in school kid
@Master Roshi Schools out boy
still think climate change is a myth/natural????
So sad that I don’t want to watch anymore it’s scary times
Highs winds and humidity under 10 percent. It’s like freaking Mordor. Pray for NM! This is my 2nd once-in-a-lifetime wildfire since 2011.😪💚❤
So sorry . I’m wildfire survivor to
This is only the beginning There will be many fires across America some of them will be in the most Unusual places leaving people to wonder as to just how and why. 100,000 s and 100,000 s of thousands of acres .yes will burn. Some naturally some by Espionage. Yes America we are under attack.
wow
Another prescribed burn where they lost control, Sheer incompetence!!!
Yeah the government needs to be held accountable.
@Chance W, Yes indeed, and it’s becoming a common, annual occurrence!
WELCOME TO TO THE MODERN AGE! THERE IS NO CLIMATE CHANGE! THERE IS NO CLIMATE CHANGE! THERE IS NO CLIMATE CHANGE!…..
One might ask all the religious nuts where God and his rain were.
I guess me cutting down a 100 year old pine tree that the extinct birds live on is nothing compared to this.
Living in forest areas comes with a price, unfortunately most of us dont think it will happen to us
Hmm, I seem to remember Trump saying it was California’s fault they have wild fires. So this republican held state must be responsible for these wildfires. Right?
Prayers 🙏🙏🙏 going out to residents and creatures in New Mexico and surrounding States.
Research HAARP Technology and awaken to who really controls the Ionisphere
They are just prepping the land for all the homes they plan on building for the east coasters moving in. The native residents won’t sell so burn them out.
😊👍
Unfuck your stand on abortion and ban them all.
Biden vows to protect forests and Republicans burn them down.
I hate it when the producer puts large, useless banners over the action.
Sounds like tmh is wiping folks off the land!

Space lasers from Jews?
Don’t they have an aquifer?… Oh never mind…
There lighting fires here blaming on climate change everything is on fire cities food factories what’s next🤫🤫
Good job on the pre burn…
Yeah…bunch of crack baby fire fighters doing a prescribed burn, in these winds? There’s some smart ones.
I’m waiting for someone to blame it on climate change. Come on, come on.
….I blame it on significantly increased co2 levels in the atmosphere resulting in increased heat retention.
The federal government started this fire and is solely responsible, this is no different the the Flint, MI water crisis the only difference is instead of a poor Black community it’s a poor Hispanic community, this is called environmental racism!
Thanks for not mentioning any of the communities affected so they can receive no support. 👌 Really classy.
I also was looking for mention of the communities. Just saying “New Mexico”, is way too broad. New Mexico is a HUGE state! It looks like the Chama region; my favorite place in New Mexico, but not sure if that is where the actual fire is.
hand out jobs to put the fire down
Prescribed burns are never good when the forest is dry kindling and 60mph winds from the west, should be a NO BRAINER…….
They work majority of the time but we recently got hit with winds from the blue , i feel that was an unexpected anomaly. Prayer for hot shot crews and volunteers helping in the north of our state.
With high winds from the west and kindling in the way it looks pretty bleak.
New or old Mexico retried beans makes fire since Spanish Mexican chicano albuquque karma Santa Fe infection development purchase
The town of Mora has been evacuated. The city of Las Vegas is threatened. Please help in any way possible. The New Mexico State Police are handling donations as well as the New Mexico Red Cross. Prayers are nice but won’t help. We need more resources.
Anyone wanna (fire) hazard a guess as to why the fires down here are so bad? // *The fire started April 6 when a prescribed burn set by firefighters to clear out small trees and brush that can fuel fires was declared out of control.* Thanks government!
Always remember, “I’m from the government, and I’m her to help you”!
Yeah. They’re always ruining things here (I’m sure everywhere else too).
Collectively, humans still do not care about our planet. Sad.
My husband also received up to 0.2btc right from this source 👆 everyone keeps earning
I want to know what fed gave the order on this prescribed burn. I’m willing to offer a cash reward to anyone who comes forward with his/her name.
Definitely the fault of the Forest service, who decided against all better judgment with these dry conditions in extreme wind warnings that they had before they started the fire, to do it anyway. But also over the last two years they’ve been wanting to do a prescribed burn in this area, and that was shut down because of our governor and “covid” reasons. Hooray government! Here to protect us at all costs.
why don’t they ever show it from like 5,000 ft so I get a good perspective? these images show no reference points of the size
I actually live there currently. My office is located in the heart of the fire lines. The fire has been visible from my home since last Friday night. The smoke is so thick and winds so strong, new fires ignite as quickly as others are going strong. Many local businesses have been shut down for the past three days. No stopping this one anytime soon
I HATE conservatives. Every wealthy person is responsible for this. We should cull the wealthy, and use their wealth to fix the weather.
Man, I HATE every billionaire so, so much. I HATE every member of every board of every petrochemical company on the planet.
I cannot believe I am alive to watch the world die.
Wow, your username is so contradictory to all your hate.
REPENT
Horrible, humans need to start taking care of the environment
Lost my place now i have to live with family nowhere to go
why do we even do planned fires just reach out to the community and say hey we need these trees cut down and use them for something other then burning them lmao
IF my brief research is correct, that combined fire is about half the size of New York City. Correct me if I’m wrong.
Car theft capital of the U.S..
Not the first controlled burn to get off its leash in New Mexico.
My family has land in Mora, New Mexico. We go camping there every year. We may have lost our 5th wheel that we had parked over there. I am more worried about those who lost their primary dwellings. Prayers for the fire fighters and the weather to change in their favor. Amen!

COMBATTING WILDLAND FIRES
A few years ago while working administratively for Bernalillo County’s Fire and Rescue Department, in Albuquerque NM, I met a US Forest Service official at a New Mexico State Fair event for firefighters. During our conversation I suggested my idea on how to combat wildland fires. I gave this person my business card and two days later I recieved an email at BCFD from a Mr. Campbell from the USFS office in Washington DC.
Mr. Campbell indicated that he was interested in my concept and urged me to contact their Research and Development personnel in San Dimas, CA.
I requested and obtained permission from the department’s fire chief to interact with the San Dimas USNF people. They liked my idea but wanted me to work my plan to incorporate their development standards. Their standards require little to no disturbance of the wildlife habitat.
My plan which remains incomplete calls for heliports to be built at the top of some mountains to facilitate the transfer of equipment and personnel during fires. The plan included the use of large trees to be used to accommodate zip lines to move personnel and material.
The heart of the plan was to build a network of cisterns (underground water storage tanks) that could be filled with natural runoff thereby creating an on site water supply with gravity flow.
In developing my plan, I had met with several of BCFD firefighters which are trained and experienced combating wildland fires as well as structural fires. They had great suggestions like adding a shelter next to the cisterns for firefighters, using pop up sprinklers on the cisterns to inundate areas where fires are headed.
The plan would be implemented to first protect community water sheds.
Places that have been devastated by fire recently should implement these cisterns and infrastructure before reforestation takes place and the wildlife returns.
The next project for New.Mexico should.be a water conservation project that incorporates the idea of the Waterman of India, Rajendra Singh. Singh, a Nobel laureate was credited with bringing back to life several rivers in India that had displaced 100,000’s of people.
Agenda21, research it.
Any of New Mexico controlled burns that resulted in out of control wildfires 🔥🔥🔥 NEW MEXICO FOREST SERVICE, should be fired 🔥🔥🔥. Ur idiots u have personally destroyed lives, habitat, homes ,. Animals . Didn’t ur parents ever teach u NOT to play with matches??? ., Never do a control burn in March/ April..??? There is so much with NM, im a native. Still live in Alb ., completed a freshman year at Highlands Univ ., Las vegas ., this has left me scorching 🥵, hot 🔥MAD … NM Forest Service fire all head personnel NOW ,. .. this is utterly ridiculous., U Have Failed … 👎👎👎
If they would have raked their forests as trump advised, this wouldn’t have happened…..disgraceful!
I know some people in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Some are enraged of what an idiotic plan to prescribe a burn when the spring winds are up to 80mph. The government might get several lawsuits if they don’t replace the damage. I’m praying for the residence up there. 🙏🙏⛈️🌧️🌨️🌨️
Forest service is responsible for this disaster! They are Idiots!
Judgement is coming. Turn back to YAH and YAH only
People said the same thing back in 1871 when the great midwest fires were ablaze. This isnt the end of the world.
Im from upstate New York and drove to Arizona once passing thru New Mexico on US Route 70 and everyone these folks are serious about this wind ,I lived through Hurricane Hugo and the wind on interstate 70 the day I was there was just as strong as Hugo I couldn’t even open my truck door to go to the bathroom so I did my business in a bottle ,when it gets windy in New Mexico it gets very WINDY everyone and if you are headed anywhere near New Mexico heed this warning ,take a pee bottle
