Thousands of people gathered in occupied East Jerusalem on Friday for the funeral of the veteran Al Jazeera journalist, two days after she was shot dead by Israeli forces while covering a raid in the occupied West Bank.
Thousands of people have attended a rally in London in solidarity with Palestinians and Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh.

The brother of the killed woman reporter had a meeting with the Israeli authorities where permission was granted for the funeral procession to proceed with just ONE condition, NO Palestinian flags to be carried by the mourners. The Palestinian flag was allowed to be draped over the coffin. This agreement was made with the family, who passed this onto those in the procession. But, the agreement was broken & of course the Israelis, who negotiated in good faith reacted. Over the top? Yes
