Global food prices have hit an all-time high in recent months.
They are being driven upwards by the war in Ukraine, the pandemic and climate change.
This comes on top of surging energy prices and high inflation.

Russia had decades to attack Poland or the Baltics of they wanted to. Russia didn’t even attack them when it was clear they were about to join NATO. The Cold War ended in the early 90’s but Poland and the Baltic’s joined NATO in the late 00’s. Why didn’t Putin attack in that time span
There is simply no evidence that Russia was going to attack any eastern Euro country. But It’s in USA’s benefit to expand NATO though. All NATO armies have to have the same or similar weapon systems. They basically guaranteed a market for there weapons. Even better if you can convince them to fear Russia. They’ll buy even more weapons

And again, Russia was co existing peacefully with all its western neighbours until they joined a military alliance with the stated objective of containing Russia. After the Cold War ended, Russia tried to get USA to end NATO and create a new European security alliance that Russia could join. They said no. Then went on to expand nato right up to Russia’s doorstep, even though they had assured Russia they wouldn’t.
USA looks like the aggressor here to me. Russia has more reason to be afraid then any of their once neutral neighbours did. At least until they stopped being neutral

A slide in markets, whether they be stocks and bonds or housing, would be good for younger people because it would pop the bubbles in housing and finance, enabling younger people to enter the market at a reasonable price point and eventually see a reasonable recovery, but hopefully not back into bubble territory.
