They have been living there for more than a decade after a crackdown by China.
In the second part of our series, A Life Displaced, some of those Tibetans in India say they’ve had no choice but to adapt to life in India.

Unfortunately we Indians feel ashamed how the Indian national congress party sold Tibet to China when Tibetians asked us for help. congress party betrayed tibetians. There was a time when Tibetans lived peacefully in Tibet and now China has militarized a peaceful land and destroyed their culture and Dalai Lama tradition. China will now keep eyes on ladhak nepal bhutan and sikkim they together make 5 pillars of Buddhism. I hope indian government will protect the remaining 4 pillars of which more than half of ladkak is now occupied by China in 1962 war. India should increase it’s military power with the help of USA to contain China otherwise there will be no one to protect them
