Food prices in the United States are increasing, but American farmers are not reaping the benefits.
They face their own rising expenses, ranging from labour costs to fertiliser.
Growers on the East Coast are particularly hard hit, as the US has begun to import more fruits and vegetables.

Add to that that Mexico and Latin America are not importing GMO crops and are working towards stoppping all GMO corn imports.
Farmers who sold GMO crops to Latin America cannot anymore and must go organic if they want to, which is more expensive and Mexico will not buy.
How about the US? Do they want to pay more for naturally grown food?
It’s not just the corporate war going on between corporate nations.
It’s nations nationalizing natural resources and not allowing the destruction, contamination, and theft of them by foreign corporations driving prices up as well.
The US is loosing nation partners beacuse of their constant meddling in foreign affairs.
Thats another reason your prices are going up.

Good as a small farmer myself. I am glad this mono farmers have to change or die out. They shouldn’t complain because they destroyed our market first now we are just returning the favor.

There are farmers who killed the trade by doing unethical practices for the sake of profit. They should go broke to open up a market to farmers who actually love their land and have pride in the high quality organic food.

In summary, things are bad and things will get worse and things might get out of hand. Worse is our government pretends like they don’t see it. I for one has been hit very hard and at this point, I am more interested in a solution because I don’t think an end is near. What is the way forward for the less fortunate ones like me? How do we survive this phase? I am slowly losing my mind.
