Tension has escalated since United States House Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Taipei last week – a move Beijing called a provocation.

@Truthful Mainland (CCP) China wants their island. This sentence is more correct. They can’t have the island ‘back’ since it has never been part of the CCP’s nation.
Taiwan has however, been a part of the ROC, as well as part of the Chinese empires before that. The ROC still maintains governance on the island today. Just as the CCP controls the mainland.
The CCP does not need to extend to Taiwan, especially after so long. This would involve the militant conquering of the island by the CCP, which would be a humanitarian disaster and should not be encouraged.

Taiwan don’t want to learn from Ukraine-russian war and forget about the so called usa support. If the war eventually start I pray it dosent. How far can usa go in support for Taiwan. Are they ready to pay the ultimate price can they continue the war after losing a million usa soldiers can they fight for Taiwan for 10 years interval? The answer is no. China is ready to fight that war till last man standing and forever and unfortunately Taiwan is a small island that won’t take china too long to run over. If the war was between usa and china directly on both soils I won’t bother cos I know justice will be done.
Taiwan is actually part of China they have been relaxed on it for years. They have major autonomy and do operate as a sovereign nation. The USA doesn’t even officially recognise Taiwan as an independent nation. Perhaps Taiwan would need too invest in long range radar and anti air defence systems. They are totally different too the regime in PRC but they are Chinese just different political systems and society views would be more democratic and westernised. I’m not saying they don’t have a right too be independent but while everyone focuses on Taiwan and Ukraine everyone seems too forget places like Palestine 🤷🏻♂️
Taiwan *was* a part of China, during the Imperial and ROC days. The CCP never reached Taiwan. The ROC still persists on the island. It can remain this way, no need for more militant conquering by the CCP.
