In Cairo I met an unscrupulous man and *Egypt* me all my money. I know it sounds like I ad-*Libya* story, but I assure you *Israel.* I have such a nost *Algeria* for those days. Honestly I could tell you more but it *Kuwait* until to *Morocco* .

@Holy Ghost a chance for people to focus on something other than war. It’s as much about people realising that people have much in common , wanting to be happy, get on with their own life etc.
But peace only really works when the person who runs the state and the military isn’t intent on invading other countries, changing their boundaries and wanting regime change. Like Hitler at the Berlin Olympics in 1936. Or the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia in 2014, at the same time as Putin was trying to shape the direction of Ukraine through pressure and other means on the election and Ukraine’s desire to join the European Market, sending in the FSB to help against the protests in Ukraine, followed by Putin’s annexation of Crimea and sending in unmarked military into other parts of Ukraine (“little green men”).
So, perhaps sports haven’t helped enormously. But banning Russia from the world cup and Putin’s explusiin from the International Judo Federation probably matter more to him personally than the financial sanctions.
The Sochi winter Olympics in Russia was very impressive – an estimated $50 billion spent on the facilities, many of the contracts going to Putin’s rich and powerful at inflated prices. And also where the plans for the annexation of Crimea were discussed.

I very happy because my favourite team draw at Group D with Denmark,Tunisia & Winner of Intercontinental Playoff #1 between UAE,Australia or Peru.
Belgium is anyway very good club, so you put it in any group and it still finish in the top two two qualify for the round of 16, so this Group D is just easy group to Belgium get forwards, while I think Spain vs Germany game would be intresting to watch from Group E.
Messi vs Lewandowski game would be also intresting to watch from group C.

Sad i won’t see my country there 🇷🇺 and i really hope they will keep politics away from sport. If i see some signs of support towards only One country, it gonna break my heart because for several years, I’ve been with a Yemeni guy, trying hard to bring him to Russia just as life there is too tough for average people who have no support from relatives or so and almost never I’ve seen news about it. Of course, it’s sad what is happening now but as Qatar is in Middle East I hope they will not leave countries near them and all the refugees without attention, just like most of countries forgot about it.
