I’m not a big CNBC watcher, but I must say I’m glad this guy is pointing out the fact that they were dishonest about their original knowledge of this virus. This is only the beginning. There is so much manufacturing in China now. With many large cities in quarantine and small towns sealing themselves off, this will definitely effect production. It will be a ripple effect in the global supply chain. Want the new iPhone, PS5, Xbox etc? Production may be slowed way down due to the closure of cities, trains, etc.

the virus is not contained its been spreading since late november if one person got out and infected another human you are really way behind and they are being cavalier like he says. If this is continuing as it is its projected just in one month over 100 million will be infected and atleast 23 million of the people serious enough to be admitted into a hospital, not enough beds nor room to treat in hospitals once that happens. Economists were already predicting a global economic crisis was looming in 2020 – and seemingly are keeping quiet at the moment and not mentioning the possible economic repercussions as a result of the corona virus. To me that is absolutely *CRAZY* – In Hong Kong where I am we have at this stage 11 confirmed cases and as discussed Hong Kong is right next to China and they are still coming into Hong Kong and we only have *11* cases. Because we take the threat seriously.

They put doctors away when they leak information out to the public and covered up the seriousness of the situation until there were more deaths and hospital staff members were infected. China has been applauded for rapid sequencing of the Coronavirus compared to how that was handled with SARS back in 2003. People forgot to mention that sequencing technology in 2003 was lightyears different (and in terms of time and cost). It costed 100 million dollars for a human genome (virus will be cheaper, but still).
Turkey doesn’t want to take any actions for CORONAVIRUS spread . Turkish government does nothing about it. You couldn’t find any face mask in pharmacies. I just read an article that 80% of the ingredients we use in the US to make our Pharmaceuticals are made in China and then we finish off the other 20% when it comes to the US. If people in the US don’t realize at this point if that is true, all of our Pharmaceuticals are going to be a problem as long as China continues to be in a shutdown situation. This guy is absolutely right but as usual the US just wants to ignore that we are not independent anymore from the rest of the world and in fact rely more on the rest of the world than we want to admit.

I live in the UK and what really scares me is we have 2 confirmed cases of this virus plus plane landed with people from Wuhan and yet despite seeing every other country dealing with possible/definite cases wearing full on Hazmat suits in the footage I’ve seen airport and medical staff weren’t even wearing basic PPE! Not even a pair of gloves and a mask? Really?! Plus hotel where the 2 confirmed cases were staying is still open with no checking other residents and you can still check in! We’re a small island and this level of casual is grossly negligent and dangerous. Plus there’s only 4 hospitals in the UK which can cope with this type of contagion so not looking good is it? 😡😡😔

What worries me and what nobody is talking about is the fact that production of medication has been in vast majority outsourced to China and nobody is saying what will happen if China will be unable to resume mass scale production of medication and medical equipment such as protective masks for example while this disease will keep spreading all over the globe. Yes, we also have meds production in India but what if it’s spread to India and given poor sanitary conditions in terms of access to public toilets it will spread like wildfire since this virus is also being transferred via feces. So what in worst case scenario coming to life and global medical supply safety. And what if anything WHO and largest pharmaceutical companies have to say in this regard. ANother thing is also related to spare parts regarding electronics which can affect all sectors, including aviation, automobile, all kind of computer, robotics, automated and and unmanned systems in all spheres of our daily life.
