The main problem is that the US and EU want that Turkey brokes its ties with Russia coz of many reasons.
They want a country that weakened Russia coz they are a big threat for EU.
as a bait.
But that bait shouldn’t be weak. It had to cost Russia high costs that it will deteriorate militarily and financially during and after the war. And who did they pick as a bait? Turkey.
Remember the fighter jet that was shot down. After that, Air defence systems from the so called NATO Allies have withdrawn from Turkey. This was a signal to Russia that they will not interfere if there breaks a war out between them. Russians didn’t fall for it and the Turks woke up and saw the real plan from the west.
And this caused Erdogan to turn more and more to the Russians and keep more distance from the west. And was this a smart choice? Deffinitly! The west has lost the 2nd largest army as Turkey
Which act as a kind of wall for the security of the west against Russia and middle east. But now there are cracks in the wall.
If Russia and NATO ever start a war, Turkey will stand stable mark my words. They are woke up!

The currency has been stable!! The anger this lady is expressing is about the culture not the currency! Prices are up everywhere so Turkish people should not raise their prices?? I think it is her prejudice against Turkish people that came across to me!
I love how foreigners like to criticize our domestic and monetary policies without knowing single thing about it. turkish lira is not stabilized. 6 months or so ago, the turkish central bank made a crucial decision and spent a large amount of its dollar reserves to ease off the economic burden by buying loads of turkish lira and artificially boosting the demand. I must say it worked out for a bit, previously 1 dollar equated 18 tl and it hit just 10 tl in days. today, right now it stands at 17.70 again and on the decrease, as of writing of this comment, its probably already gone down a little bit. purchasing power is shrinking fast while prices are soaring and our salaries arent kept consistent with these rising prices. just for context, 200 turkish lira is the highest denomination the central bank prints, with that money you’d buy loads of 5lt of cooking oil and today you barely afford just one, which goes to show that the money has bern shrinking in value and some economists even suggested printing 500 tl denomination for the first time. so yeah, the prime minister obviously doesnt have the slightest idea what the hell he is talking about, shifting the topic from turkish lira to poland like a scoundrel and putting in a great effort to justify erdogan’s stupid monetary policies just as he is ordered to do so.

I remember when the turkish ministry of interior was accused of drug trafficking and corruption, he had no option but to join in a interview to clear his name but interviewers aka hired dog-loyal journalists asked him unrelated questions and it went on like this for an hour with the minister constantly evading questions and successfully shifting the main topic to literally unrelated stuff. there had been concrete evidences against him that could throw him in jail for a good amount of time but apparently he had them on a leash and probably offered some good money too. thats how you work things out in turkey and bribery is always the easiest solution.

Turkish Lira is one of the most hit by USD. Others are Venezuela, Argentina. Turkey is focussing more in Politics and War, war in Syria for example, this cost Turkey a lot of money. USD keeps printing money and now they realized their inflation is high. Turkey can not just print money as US did.

ahh yes turkish lira hit all time low and still keeps going down in value but according to these rich a$$ pricks it’s stabilized. 6 months ago the turkish central bank had to spend good amount of dollar reserves to artificially boost the turkish lira and increase the demand, previous to the decision 1 dollar equated 18 turkish lira which was crucial, hours later it hit 10 turkish lira and cooled down the struggle a little bit and its now around 17.70 and on the decrease. probably erdogan’s unconventional monetary policies quite backfired!
