Venezuela’s government and the opposition have signed an agreement, seeking to end a political and economic crisis.
The United States has responded, saying it will issue limited-term contracts allowing for oil extraction by energy company, Chevron.

Yes. The Saudis don’t want to lower the price of oil and are even planning to cut production so as to drive up the price despite the request of the US not to do so.
If the Saudis are able to have their way, so many economies will be affected.
The prices of basic commodities will go up and hundreds of milions will not be able to afford food and even medecines.
