You mean currency… not money, money is gold and silver.
I never realized how much Graham uses his hands… Now I can’t unsee it lol
What the purpose of collecting money and living cheap if you gonna end up dying and leaving all behind. Live your live and save when you can.
“I don’t buy Avocado at Chipotle because its a waste at money.” – Graham while buying Mexican food from Chipotle
More money, more problems.
does money hoarding hurt the economy???
Hi Graham! Been watching your videos for a couple years now and I appreciate all the knowledge you provide for FREE!
I’ve been doing some research, but would love your take on a specific situation. Upgrading our primary home, because our family is growing, but keeping my current home as a rental property. I’ve seen several videos of the best ways to buy a rental in addition to the primary residence, but not the other way around. Can I access equity in my current home (such as a HELOC) to buy a new primary home, and then rent out my current property? Or what are the options someone has in this scenario and what are the best ways to do this in your opinion, assuming that there isn’t enough cash reserved to put 20% on the new primary residence. Would really appreciate your take on this! And I’ll always SMASH the like button!
Your still very young when you get older you will also realize your not taking it with you and the years on earth is limited because everyone dies even filthy rich people then your money will go to your children if you have any. I have worked and saved and invested the past 30 years and now I’m retiring and enjoying life. I will be 59 next month. So my thing now is I travel and spend money on going places and enjoying life. I don’t go over board but I realizes my days are limited depending on how long I will live. Look at trumps ex wife she just died at 73 years old. So I want to have as much fun as possibly while I am able to before I get too old.
Appreciate all the free game you toss out!
Food is a waste..? Cmon
Yep 🎯 I basically never spend on anything that I can’t write off or isn’t an investment
Same having write offs is a blessing
How do you pay for food?
Where is your girlfriend?
Sounds like “cheap” to me;)
you should had put ” Why I should Stop Making Videos”
One of your best videos imo
New rich will never be the same as celebrities, old rich and royalties. People have to be born into money to feel comfortable using them to satisfy their needs, fancy food, expensive hobbies, luxuries 💁🏻♂️.
You also have to look good or go to somewhere important to wear a 40k$ chanel suit, new richs with little social connection or normal looking people (not attractive) never need that fancy suit. So they shop at zara and go to wallmart 😄💁🏻♂️
Why are all your thumbnails negative 😔😔😔
For some Reason all I want to do is spend money! Probably because the last two years I’ve been extremely frugal when I saw who was gonna be in office…I kinda knew what was coming. Definitely in a better situation than most right now it seems. My intuition was right on- on this one.
simple. I used generational wealth
three basics. land gold/silver and collectables.
Graham, we need you to run the federal budget. Seriously!
Now I’m going to feel guilty every time I order avocado at Chipotle
Hello, I emailed your business website twice so far in past week. I’m reaching out on there just to try and touch base. There is some information I love to discuss. Thanks Sam
Funny i do they Same thing … i Spend no money besides fish to add to my Aquarium …
Graham: why I stopped spending money,
Also Graham: I need to pay my bill with money.
Could you do a video on trusts, how they work, how to set them up, etc. and other ways to protect your wealth for generations?
It’s good to be frugal, but when it comes to food, it’s sometime bad for your health if you choose the cheap options. Just look at some of the cheapest food around, they’re usually fast food or prepackaged food that are highly processed or refined.
You can always wrap yourself in a borrowed scratchy blanket and sit in a dark room- you don’t get rich buy giving it away- the government is looking forward to getting your wealth from the death taxes
Can you do a reaction to dave ramsey’s “real estate reality check” video? Interested in your thoughts!
How do you manage money for your meals/food? What do you eat?
Just call it, “cheap”.
FTX CEO made the second largest donation to the 2020 Biden Campaign.
Im so glad you made this video. so many people out here are too focused with looking rich instead of building towards something. no matter what brand you throw on to show off you are not being paid to wear that clothe. its just money coming out of your pocket.
people just need to get realistic about money and hearing it from the rich i think is the most impactful. so thank you for making this video.
Graham, I really like your humility and self-awareness that you express in this video. I also like how you’re not ashamed to admit that you are frugal or cheap or whatever adjective you can use. Good for you man!
I was in rigorous saving mode last few years so I can buy a house. One thing that comes with saving is the fear when the savings go down. The more you have, more you are afraid to lose. This year though, I spent my money on travel, to see my family, and so on. It lowered my “saving” acct balance but invaluable to the richness and quality of my life. Find a balance between saving and living.
You look constipated in the video pic lol
Since I drink less alcohol…I’m saving more…
Yeah it was a bit but honestly… Thank you for talking to the camera for all these years for us🙌🙌 learned a lot from your channel
Why does it look like your head isn’t attached to your body when you’re doing these videos? Lol it’s amazing
The closer I got to affording a Lamborghini, the less I wanted one.
Bro is the type to not let his date or girlfriend get avocado at chipotel because “it’s a 1$ more” 💀
There’s nothing new here Graham.
You should do a video for your older followers who are just starting to save. A lot of us GenX-ers are worried that it’s just too late for us.
Wtf I never got recommended for this vid and I’ve been looking for u to upload today
Guacamole is required on a chipotle burrito, regardless of one’s wealth. Living without guac isn’t really living.
When you were raised poor you want to be able to provide for yourself and then when you’ve earned that you never want to go back to where you started from so you try everything to hold onto the wealth you have and create more.
when i stop spending money i would probably be staved to death, turns out food doesn’t come to yourself, you need to pay for it.
It’s pretty easy for me. I’m making $600 more a month than I thought I would ever. So I put $400 every month in a SP500. So now I don’t care what I spend a month.
Excellent!
But don’t over do it
I, like many who watch the channel, am a compulsive saver. I invest far more than I need to.
I should spend money on some fun and indulgence, but its painful and I don’t really know how anymore.
I was missing this kind of videos.
I was also called cheap growing up. Today I am the same but I do not think of it as being cheap. It is common sense to me. I realize that not everyone thinks the same way. When way of living becomes harder, as it already has , I am sure they will start, as many already have, thinking the same way but be in a position behind the curve. Those ahead of the curve will no longer be regarded as cheap.
Any recommendations on how to outsource fighting unjust medical bills? I have to go through several hours of calls after every single doctor visit. I just got billed $5000 for a checkup that I should have paid $0 for (I have health insurance, but they won’t honor their terms) and still fighting it
That’s why you look how you look out of shape. Should not save money on food I don’t care about other things. But need eat healthy and 1.class food.
Every video has a negative “scare” title. Your content is good, you don’t need to do this clickbait. I don’t like the negativity.
thumbs up for alex xD
Isnt your net worth like 15 million? Living on 4% a year for you is $600k. Why haven’t you retired? You’re prepared for any unknowns.
investing indoor self still can be the best start….. awesome video …..
9:26 love it
I got too many hobbies this isn’t for me 🤣
20 dollars an hour!
Ha! Here we earn 4-5 per hour and dinners cost 15-20.
Poor kid! Young people can find hardly a decent house or job!!!!!! They just try to put some food on the table!
‘Most people didn’t get wealthy by wasting money.’
Asking welthy people why are they still saving money, when they are already rich is like asking athletic people whay arethey still exercise, when they’re already muscular. This is what made them, what they are today and what is keeping them this way.
It’s fine to save but if you aren’t gonna live a comfortable life and enjoy yourself I feel what’s the point of living
I know a lot of things I’ve always wanted to own, but ended up not wanting to buy them when I could comfortably afford them. It’s satisfying just knowing you can afford them
Graham, excellent advice!! Most people will not out earn poor spending habits.
Just I am cheap.
Thanks for yours video! Really remind me of stop pursuing things that I dont need
Can you do a video about the PayPal savings account? Someone wanted to pay me though PayPal so I downloaded it and I saw on their app their savings is 1.4% but I can’t really find anything online about ppl using it. Is it worth it??
It’s July and you have your fire place on ????
Im frugal too. But if hes that much more frugal, then why can’t I? great Video guys.
We get it man! I bet you charge your girlfriend for rent!
Please do more videos like this many people including myself can use this set us up for the future.
I find myself spending a lot on food, I’m constantly hungry. I could eat until I’m stuffed and be hungry again an hour later.
There’s a huge difference between being frugal and being cheap but it can be a fine line to walk. I’ve always understood that being frugal doesn’t mean not spending any money, but it means spending money on things that really matter to you and bring you happiness. Great video Graham!
Thank you G!!
Joe Biden is just like the wizard of OZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Most people venture into investments to be millionaires, meanwhile i just want to be debt free
@Jessica Rodriguez tell her I referred you
No doubt, she has brought me out of the wrenches and to a better living through her trading service
I will recommend her for newbies to trade with her
I have BTC already, trying to know if it will be wise to be put into trading.
Thanks for this information.
2:39 Actually the article states more than 40% of multimillionaires shop at Target and not 25% as Graham stated.
I don’t earn a high income but find I outsave many of my higher earning friends. I came to understand after many years that whereas I buy what I “need”, they buy what the can “afford”. If we were to go purchase the same thing. I would go through all the requirements I need, then find the best “value” option (not necessarily the cheapest, more often then not I would buy a good brand on sale) whereas my friend would look at the very best available, way beyond their actual need, then calculate if they can afford it (often meaning if they can make the credit crd repayments) and buy the best they can afford. The different mindset I have found has made a huge difference in our ability to build wealth.
single men dont spend money
I stopped eating and saved 100% on food
This is the best video I’ve seen from you in a long time.
Hey Graham can you do a video about what software and systematical aproach you use to keep track of your finances giving you a clear picture on your total portfolio
I’m in my 50s and I’m more interested in investments that could set me up for retirement , I mean I’ve heard of people that netted hundreds of thousands during these crash, I listened to someone on a podcast who earned over $650K in less than a year, what’s the strategy behind such returns?
Having an investment adviser is the best way to go about the market right now, especially for near retirees, I’ve been in touch with a coach for awhile now mostly cause I lack the depth knowledge and mental fortitude to deal with these recurring market conditions, I nettd over $220K during this dip, that made it clear there’s more to the market that we avg joes don’t know
@Scout Irving that’s impressive!, I could really use the expertise of this advisors , my portfolio has been down bad….who’s the person guiding you.
@Dionne Micah credits to Frances Annette Batista, one of the best portfolio manager;s out there. she;s well known, you should look her up
the 70pct thing with lottery winners is unsubstantiated facts. you go to their website, and they say that themselves. the point is good enough, but stop quoting them. they didn’t say it
Your a king 👑
your spending habits to never run out of money will work, but question is if you really don’t want to never run out of money. I would say think about how much money you want to leave to your family when you die and then adjust your spending so by the time you are dead your money has that much value. if you want to have safe space for errors its ok, just don’t make it 500x larger than it needs to be like you are doing now
But Graham, you don’t take your money when you die, you’re only young once and are you gonna waste your youth not experiencing the best things just to save money?
Even when you’re old, why would you want your kids to have a comfortable life, wouldnt you want them to struggle?
By giving your kids your wealth, you’re essentially TAKING away their opportunity to achieve greatness on their own.
My guy, you nevwr spend any to begin with.
master teach me your way of frugal saving
I bought a stack of SodaStram sirup for 0,10 instead of 5,75 Euros. They almost paid me to get it, I saved a lot and have a year of drinks at home now haha
the rich can easily laugh all day
In my mid 30S and still trying to get rich….I wish I could be content with being poor or living check to check and since its been more than 15 yrs of it I should give up on wealth but to me thats a death sentence if I dont try to aim to gain wealth even in my late age but we didnt have as much in the tech department as we do now and jobs that were closed to us in my growing years that didnt require degrees or skills are finally opening up in my later years that 10 years fromthe date I truly am paying myself I may have a passive income that can take over for my active just hope I have the energy for this hades trip to wealth to one day saying I was going to off myself but I hung in there type of BS…. LOL
You might be making more money with your commercials Graham. But. But it’s worth the extra dollar to us do not have to put up with them. The whole video feels artificial With your sales pitches added in no thanks I’m near unsuscribing
In watching this on my brand new £875 tablet
Look at where I am now. I’m in a converted garage, talking to a camera.
Hey Graham what’s up
200$ a month on food? Did you eat just bowls of rice?
I didn’t grow up short of money, we were way luckier than many. Now as adults, my sister makes a lot of money but loves to buy things, especially a good deal. I make “ok” money, and I hate shopping & spending money on things I don’t really need, but will pay extra for things I do really need. Same childhood, different turn out.
