Ive heard a lot about real estate, stocks and even cryptocurrency and I’ve been reading up on recession and the market as well, apparently both bull and bear market condition provides equal avenue to accrue massive gains. A 19 year old on reddit recently made over 300k trading stocks amidst crash and I’m wondering what the secret to such successful investing is. My portfolio has been stagnant for months now.

What your talking about with the kid is trading, which is extremely technical. If you’re just starting out, buy the index funds and long term holds like real estate and digital coins. You wanna lower your risk as you age unless you become proficient.

The government aren’t stupid to let this happen they give people plenty of time to remortgage at a low fixed rate a lot of them fixed rate for 30 years. It might effect people in a way they can only afford a slightly lesser property. And they might even counter this with tax relief on INTREST payments

You, nor anyone else, can predict the stock market, but maybe a few videos of “this is the reason why I invested $XXXXXX.XX in this company.” Most people don’t know a thing about the market. If it’s an article online on why to buy or sell, it’s already too late. You never pump or shoot down any stock. Capitalize on that. You don’t need to teach someone how to build a house; just show them how to lay either a crawl space or slab.

Any restaurant business that focuses on one ingredient is a bad business at the moment. There are fees shortages, huge cull of chicken because of disease, huge drought in the western states and I can go on. Just Look at KFC prices skyrocketing. I’m assuming that work around would you import inferior toxic low quality chicken from China and batter it to taste good. Bad investment.
The main downside of increasing interest rates to attempt to lower home prices, is that it crushes new constructions. Home builders are much less likely to finish their projects as there will be no buyers for those homes when they are finished. This will further hamper housing supply in a market where there is already not enough supply. Home prices may continue to go up as the main buyers are paying with cash and not getting a loan. I don’t see increasing mortgage rates as being good for the industry and will do more long term damage then short term benefits.
This is all part of investing! Sometimes the markets aren’t in line with your goals and it requires you to sell even if that wasn’t your initial plan. Thanks for sharing both sides of investing, not just the buying side! Also, I’m hoping that hot chicken franchise goes through. It would be cool to visit a Graham Stephan restaurant if I’m ever in Vegas haha

It would probably be best to cut off all financial relationships with California to avoid paying the absurdly high property and state taxes. That way you can invest in other things in cheaper states
