Aid agencies have warned that chronic malnutrition among children in Ecuador is spiralling out of control.
Almost half of all children under the age of two do not get enough to eat.
Among Indigenous communities, the issue is even more prevalent.

The salary in Ecuador is $600 but the indigenous people are exploited by their own leaders that don’t allow then to find other jobs, they force them to work in communal farms while the leaders sell the food in the market and keep the profit, the government can’t do anything because they have their own indigenous justice system in theese communities and if they force them they accuse them of not respection their traditions, it’s indigenous protected slavery

This situation is due in great part to the policies of the current banker president, neoliberal G.uillermo L.a$$o, who has cut back on all social services, including breakfasts in public schools which allowed poor students to be assured of a least one good meal per day.
