Northern California prosecutors filed attempted murder charges against a motorist who was behind the wheel of a Tesla that went over a cliff with his wife and two children inside. Camera footage of the incident and eyewitness accounts led to the decision to charge 41-year-old Dharmesh Patel.

The wife is talking the news report said she has made a statement to the police which is why he’s being charged. Plus the video evidence.
It looks like she’s spoken with police. She’s done her part for now, with testifying in court to come. She doesn’t owe anyone a public statement. Any information released will come through a police spokesperson, as it should. When charges are announced, then you’ll see who the police think is responsible. Speculation that she’s an “accomplice” at this stage of the investigation is irresponsible.

@Imminent I went to Pikes Peak to take pictures but I didn’t account for the thin air at that elevation so as I was carrying my heavy camera around I got light headed and passed out and tumbled about 3000 feet down the side of the mountain. It’s a miracle I survived, but I was arrested for the attempted murder of myself. They used my Pikes Peak pictures as evidence against me. I’m free again now after doing 10 years in prison for Pikes Peak pictures.

I think, it was not a good idea to tell publicly, testimony from wife would be crucial for convicting. It’s very possible, it wasn’t first time of domestic violence, if it is the case. It’s very hard to come forward against your abuser.

Video evidence shows him driving to the edge after adjusting his car. That doesn’t even make sense, he wouldn’t floor the gas after stopping if she grabbed the wheel. 2) they have video evidence of him adjusting his car to go straight into the cliff. He didn’t swerve, he deliberately maneuvered the car.

I was thinking about it, CA will have hard time proving anything because the car is equipped with self-driving and it is possible for someone to hack it and drive the car of the cliff, this is true for any devices actually when it come to life and death matters, this is why tech companies need to provide fully secured un -hackable devices (if that’s even possible) because lets say Uber has a flying vehicle that it will come out with, how will the user be fully assured that they are safe?
Cars have been hackable since 2015 without autopilot, cutting brake lines is easier.
