Protests and strikes against unpopular pension reforms kicked off again on Tuesday across France. Police security was ramped up amid government warnings that radical demonstrators intended “to destroy, to injure and to kill”.

Right now in France some protestors are getting blood noses, broken bones (they have hospitals in France with paid professional doctors that help injured protestors.) and losing out on their retirement package. Something only the developed world receives mind you.
In 2006 there was a civil war in South America and thousands of indigenous children were displaced from their homes, starving/freezing to death on the streets with parents brutally murdered and no hospital to help them like those in France. UN intervened and got all the Embera children out. THIS is a different world to the one in France. A protestor getting knocked unconcious by police or getting a broken bone from a police battern in NOWHERE NEAR the level required for UN to intervene thankfully.
They are all going the same road. They will do nothing!

To understand the truth behind this reform you need to learn about French taxes system, reality of unemployment and the working service minimum required at full wage for french worker to pretend retiring with full pension.
Which is, for most people, MUCH older than 62 or 64, ..statistically many of us won’t even make it to retirement.
Not to mention the corruption, the collusion, USA and EU illegal interferences on EU members, etc. that motivated the implementation of measures designed to destroy French social system, our energy independance, industrial capacity and national institutions in order to reinforce France dependance to financial markets, encourage FMI loans debt spiral and ultimately weaken its economy and its sovereignty.. This shitshow has been going for the past 15 years already!

French workers contribute 80$ US to GPD PPP per hour worked = ranked 7th in the World for productivity. France’s workweeks are the fifth-shortest among OECD countries at 38.9 hours. But still France’s productivity is about 25% higher than the OECD average and EU averages. French people are also the most taxed citizen in the world, they pay the high price for their social system, it represents about 50% of their brut revenu.
20% of our GPD is generated by tax revenus!
The French retirement system is currently NOT in deficit, but in fact, in SURPLUS!
Our government uses ‘worst case scenario’ long term predictions to justify the urgent need for this retirement reform, but those justifications were debunked by every single expert economist and statistician in our country; and proven to be irrelevant in the current economic context. (Covid economical crisis, hyperinflation, markets instability / unpredictability, sanctions on Russia & energy crisis)
Even though the retirement law would pass, the amount of money this reform would save annually is ridiculously small! (It represents not even a tenth of what was sent to Ukraine, nor a thousandth of company’s superprofits won on french workers’ backs thanks to inflation and speculation in only 6 months last year!)
This is exactly why the government bypassed the parliament’s vote to impose this law: 70% of the population + the majority of our legislatives power representatives + every union of the country are opposed to this reform!
According experts, this reform will likely worsen unemployment situation for youngs people and for seniors, and ultimately could deepen the economic crisis.. exactly like the last pension reform did.. this will force the next government to sign further measures (again) for education/health/employment insurance system.
This is no more than a terrorist attack on the remains of our institutions, our identity, our way of life and our social system (a system designed to prioritize fair redistribution, social justice, equality of opportunities; for which our parents and grandparents fought..)
Most People in France can’t even take their retirement at 64 years old already, the reform now push the right to retire 2 years later (so 2 more years of tax contributions) but even then, to be able to retire with a full pension, people need to have completed minimum 43 years of service and paid contributions at above minimum wage full-time salary. France’s minimum contribution period (43 years) is one of the highest in Europe, in UK is 30 years, in Spain 35,5 years, Portugal is 40 years.
The majority of active population who struggle with precarious terms of employment will need more contribution years than 43 years (example : part-time contracts, periods of unemployment / sick leave / maternity leave, student jobs, minimum wage contracts and with all precarious terms of employment invented to artificially reduce national unemployment stats and to exonerate taxes for big corporations..)
So the MAJORITY of french citizen can’t even retire before 68/70 with a full pension, unless they have a private pension plan, most of us can’t pay for that with 50% of our revenu seized for government taxes.
We know those reforms on French social system are dictated by EU to please shareholders and to open juicy markets to rich multinationals/investors (=hidden privatizations), French government refuses to admit it (Spain, Ireland, Italy suffering the same reforms did admitted it) because french culture is fiercely opposed to ultra-liberalism ideology, and above all, EU has no official authority on France, EU is an administrative association whom representatives are not elected by EU countries’ citizens, they have absolutely no right to interfere in our politics / legislatives nor push decisions that would impact the lives of every french citizen and the future of our children.
But yet as corrupted Van der Leyen said before (to Italy) “they have tools”, means they can pressure and blackmail foreign governments to do whatever their sponsors wants (US corporates, financial markets, banks, FMI, USA..) because they manage EU founds and its redistribution.. this is outrageously undemocratic and anticonstitutional.
Not to mention, scandals of corruption, collusion, embezzlements, illegal activities, traffics, etc. involving Bruxelles (EU) and our governments currently and for the past 15 years! EU was given more and more power as they manage EU founds (membership fees) and FMI loans, they use this to pressures economy and to push their political agenda and to impose unpopular liberal measures. Which are directly related to the general impoverishment of European populations, the deterioration of living standards and the increase of inequalities. While shareholders and big corporates make billions in ‘extraordinary’ profits with speculation and by exploiting workers, those same companies which do not contribute whatsoever in national economy as they pay the minimum of taxes and do not invest in national infrastructures, but in same time citizen taxes money is used to bail them out everytime they lose money because of their incompetent rogue management (probably voluntary).. In the past 5 years, inflation in France went 10% up, energy prices gas and electricity is multiplied by ten, oil (was already high in Europe) is now the double of the price (2euros per liter)… Retired and Poor people can’t make it, middle class and workers need now to choose between feeding their kids or paying bills,.. And now workers are asked to pay more taxes?? To work longer?? For who?
French people young, old, retired, from left, center or right, rich or poor.. are in the streets, standing together, despite the NON-STOP mainstream media’s propaganda and fearmongering on TV to demonize social movements and discourage people to protest (since yellow jackets crisis in 2018)
