According to three Republican sources, House Republicans and the White House reached a tentative agreement on the debt ceiling after weeks of negotiations, averting an economic crisis. The two sides worked overtime through the Memorial Day weekend to meet the June 5 deadline set by Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen. NBC News’ Allie Raffa has details of the late-night negotiations.

I saw (R) House member today warning we are heading for bankruptcy with a never ending US debt. Yet, it was (R)’s that voted to give themselves and large corporations a tax cut adding to the debt. Corporations have so many write offs, they only pay an income tax on NET INCOME, which they can afford to do. Usually the debt load ot about 30% of GDP. People love the benefits they get from government. (R)’s say they want a smaller gov’t and free enterprise to reign, but when in power they spend even more than the (D’s), and every time they always want to cut benefits of the middle class, and the very poor. They increase the benefits the wealthy get. Today people blame Biden for high gasoline prices. Ridiculous! The oil and gas market is pure capitalism.
