14-year-old animator Preston Mutanga recreated the first trailer of “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” with animated Legos and posted it online. The video caught the attention of the movie’s filmmakers. NBC News’ Gadi Schwartz talks to the animator, his parents and the filmmaker about the hiring story.

This is clearly not getting the upvotes that it deserves. This kid used his talents online and got the attention of a movie studios who gave him a job. All it is accomplishments before he’s even old enough to legally drive in the United States, under parent supervision.

“…including a computer they built for him from scratch…” I always like the over exaggeration of building PCs that the news applies to basically the same concept of putting a dollar store puzzle together. Also definitely not from scratch, those are all pre manufactured parts, a “from scratch” computer would be down to the pcb and electrical components.
