The useless Nigerian government
This hurts me like the Sewol Ferry sinking and that missing Malaysian plane from way back when i was in high school. horrific things happen to innocent, unassuming people.
My condolences to all the families
In 2023 how can Nigeria which is not a poor state, not have at least standard ,or even state of the art shipping and tour boats ? regulated , registered? it is a part of the countrys transport and should have investment into that infrastructure , most importantly for the people ,that use as a means of public transport also travel & tourism,
in 2023 there is no excuse, not to overhaul and invest in the upkeep of theses boats, to prevent further tragedies like this occuring,
it is the governments lack of wanting to do this, that has allowed the operations to decline in standard of sea vessels , implemented enforced guidelines of health & saftey, it is a hustle instead of a business, when peoples lives are at stake there is a duty of care , and that falls at the governments feet.
My condolences to the families 🙏🏽🌍🇳🇬 🇳🇬 🇳🇬
