Tesla’s competition all in trouble?
Lordstown was never their competition. The players going into the future will be Rivian, VW, Ford, Nissan, Kia, and maybe GM to a lesser extent.
The first 15% is what is hard, the rest is simply following the adoption curve. before you attain 10% of adoption, it is likely that your product will not be mainstream. Once you attain 15% it goes really fast! They said the reverse in the interview and am not surprised…
might work in most industries but won’t work in the automotive business. Ev’s are on a dead end road.
@davewhite113 that is not what the data shows… EVs are now inevitable.
@dave whiteNo there not. It’s not in China or Europe. It’s these stupid American companies like GM and Ford sat on their thumbs for years until it was too late.
Even if LT has another billion, it won’t save them at all. Rivian already spent more than $10B and they didn’t even close to making profit…
EVs are a disaster!
You should travel outside America. Your shortsighted opinion will change.
People don’t want EVs, eventually they’ll find out the hard way.
The model Y is the biggest selling car in the world. American companies like Ford, GM, etc will learn the hard way like they did in the 70s and 80s with the Japanese. China is the new Japan in the car space.
Let’s make a vehicle with so much technology and so many safety features that nobody can afford it.
This administration’s monetary policy continues to work wonders.
“ANXIETY” NOT “RANGE” IS THE PROBLEM
With familiarity will come the relisation that they don’t need the ability to drive 500 miles each way, every day, and that for most drivers they will only need public refueling stations about 2 days a year. It is the anxiety itself that needs treating through education, experiencing, and countering all the fear mongering.
“Range Anxiety” is mainly the fear of change. Plus, unfortunately, the unreliability (rather than quantity) of non-Tesla chargers. Many that regularly drive EVs will learn that they spend less time, not more time, at public refuelling stations.
What happens to us when AI figures out how to produce mass hypnosis subliminally through sounds and visuals and would we even know it was happening?
Trump’s endorsement was the kiss of death.
Foxconn most likely conducted their due diligence of what Lordstown represented and pulled out. Foxconn doesn’t come this far for being stupid.
Anyone thinks there is wireless charging has not one coulomb of electrical clue. Wireless charging of that much energy will fry your brain like scrambled egg.
Each companies seeing vibrations, how many more?
LORDSTOWN is sill FRADULENT in 2023, this will not end well.
BOTH the CEO & CFO lied and false claims of Reservations.
both the CEO & CFO were ousted.
