Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has signed a new immigration law as an attempt to crackdown on employers that are hiring undocumented workers. The law would require undocumented workers to verify their legal status through an online database and would ban local governments from issuing IDs to the undocumented. NBC News’ Guad Venegas has more.

all people crying here about these poor souls, they should know that this country’s every road , building etc are made by slaves or immigrants but i guess nothing was ever paid to them. Secondly giving jobs to these people because these people work hard, they treat there work place as their own, they take responsibilities very seriously. As they want to earn money. I have seen how Americans work in small businesses. First they want 4-5 times smoke break, then they want 1-2 hour lunch break, then in 5 day per week job they take 2-3 days off unannounced. I have Americans hired by my many friends, when they were asked to fill up the shelves in a liquor store then they were having back pain, when they were asked to fill up coolers they can’t pick beer cases, when they were asked to do dusting then they are allergic to dust. But those guys were paid, only for standing on register and taking customer. So her business went on loss. Then she stopped hiring them and now working herself with the help of her family members with good profits. Americans are lazy and don’t want to do hardwork. They want free money..

This is an amazing step. We have to stop looking at the illegal immigrant situation like it’s a humanitarian issue every time. It isn’t about how we’re failing to take care of illegals – its that taking care of them seemingly has no end, and it shouldn’t come before taking care of legal citizens. Im so tired of the news framing these sorts of changes like we’re attacking illegals for no reason. They shouldn’t be here, that’s why they’re called illegal immigrants. There are legal means to immigrate, too bad if it can be a time consuming process. I’m thrilled seeing Desantis starting to crack down on this. Hopefully other states and the Fed can follow the example.
All the benefits of being an American minus playing taxes, free Healthcare and raising the prices for people who actual pay there fair share. Register to become a citizen and this won’t be an issue. Apparently papa Joe made it super easy to do now.

It is illegal for a hospital to turn someone away for emergency care. Under the law they would have to ask the individual’s citizenship status but however they answer they would still be obligated to provide emergency treatment. Unless there are other laws making them mandatory reporters (I don’t know if there is) I don’t know how much of an effect that would actually have.

Wait, construction is a skilled job, and there is a reason there are regulations that are supposed to direct it. If someone is not here legally and the company is using them trying to cut corners, guarantee the company is cutting corners elsewhere and that could be putting lives at risk. The companies should be held accountable. I also think that the people that skills have been used should be able to use that to push through making them legal

Garbage reporting. The choices are: 1-Leave before the state forces; 2-State Forces leave, or 3-become a legal US Citizen. But they will never report it that way. I don’t really care for the way Desantis pushed it through, Florida needs the workers to manage the farming etc., but I agree the State and Country as a whole need to get the undocumented – documented. Good! This needs to happen all along the border! I am an electrician and our starting pay where I live is 8$ an hour. For Journeyman it is 16$ to 18$ an hour which are laughable and non-liveable wages. This is all thanks to fake patriot contractors/business owners who preach guns, god, and country but immediately hire illegals that can barely get the job done for half the cost.
Get rid of most of the illegals and make laws that oversee and set minimums for tradesmen across the American border. If you want American labor then pay American wages like they used to decades ago (relative to the cost of living during those times).
Any industry that “depends” on undocumented workers only does so due to profits and the ability to take advantage of undocumented workers.
Every business knows it’s a illegal to give jobs that you have to send everything to the IRS or the inspectors of the state, why they do it because of money 💴
