In 2015, 18-year-old Rudy Farias went missing in Texas after he went on a walk with his two dogs and never returned. Eight years later he was found alive and is recovering at a hospital. NBC News’ Kathy Park has the details.

He wasn’t a child though, he was 18 and ran away from home. Not that it isn’t great he’s back but the way the story is presented is kind of misleading
Im so happy he was found and is alive 😊 So many people arent that lucky when they go missing; sending positive wishes towards his recovery, and to his family 💙 Im sure theyre ecstatic to have him back.

Apparently neighbors of the Farias family were shocked to learn he’s been missing as he’d hang out with them often and generally just chill around the neighborhood and would even be seen at home with his mother. So the neighbors are rightfully confused as to why he was reported missing.

One of them she claims to be her own sister. AND all the “missing” pictures that were posted of him back when he went “missing” are of him when he was 14 and younger. There was never and updated photo shared, him going by Dolph instead of Rudy when he was hanging out with the neighbors, and no updated photos of him while he was missing….it’s all so weird. None of her own fb pictures are of herself, they’re all of other people. She might have kept him and made him assume a new name, but still said he was missing for the attention it gave her. It’s a deep rabbit hole of mental health issues. She lost one of her sons in a motorcycle accident before Rudy went missing, she claims she had his (the dead son) sperm frozen so he could give her a grandchild one day 😬 she posted that on one of her fb pages. It all weird

Is there an update? The trama a person goes through to get them to shut down like that is scary in itself. Your mind goes crazy wondering the horrors that poor kid went through. I hope he recovers and is able to point out the person(s) responsible. Well, Karma is VERY REAL and we ALL must WILL answer for any/all bad we have built up in our lifetime. Your Karma wheel so to speak has to be free of all bad Karma before we can ascend. So know that the person(s) responsible will eventually suffer for this. They will suffer in some form or fashion.

To those looking for a follow-up: it turns out Rudy’s mother has been sexually abusing him and drugging him for the last 8 years. She convinced him to never leave home by telling him law enforcement had been hunting him for running away from home. He’s now in stable condition
I’m so grateful he’s alive and reunited with his family.
