Many people only know about the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics! In fact, China has also held several large-scale and very exciting opening and closing ceremonies!

As a Chinese national, I’m proud of the magnificent event. The ceremony is fantastic. More importantly, DPRK athletes’ attendance is inspiring. I have to say that it’s a ceremony without physical fireworks.

The high level reception of Syria delegation really made me cry. It remind me of the first time China sent the first delegation of a single athelete to the olympics, back then our country was broken and extremely poor. I remember in the 2008 Beijing Olympic, some people choose to critic China for using CGI firework.
about 15 years later Japan Olympic opening also using CGI, everybody praise for it.
Till today, the CGI use in a lot of celebration ceremony, it has become a Norm.
Fireworks of Beijing Olympic were real, not CGI. Just the 28 big footprint firework was prerecorded. It was set off one by one for 15 kilometers on the Olympic night, there were a lot of videos on Youtube posted by onlookers outside the stadium. Considering the visual effect and air traffic control, a prerecorded clip was used, instead of the real time recording. They were shot off that night and the last, 29th big footprint was broadcasted live.

The Asian Games is a multi-disciplinary sports event held once in every four years and is the second largest multi-sport event after the Olympics.
It certainly is a wonderful event for 46 nations to participated in the Asian Games with China putting an entrancing sport event for the people and participants alike.

you do realise the people physically at the opening saw nothing. Because its not possible. It was a CGI overlay for TV viewers and stream watchers only. This is a joke. Take out the CGI and its just another opening of an international sporting event.

Totality agree they use a lot cgi sometimes you don’t know what’s real and what’s not. Most of the show actually was meant only for tv so it didn’t actually happened.

Nice opening but a lot of the show was cgi. Sometimes you don’t know what’s real and what’s only for of tv.
One foreigner who uploaded the opening ceremony on YouTube was reported and his video was taken down. It seems like YouTube, just like its USA boss, loves to hide China’s splendor and success and wants to keep China painted in the most negative light all the time.
