Nearly six weeks into the United Auto Workers strike, another 5,000 union members walked off the job at a GM plant in Texas. A new analysis estimates the strike has cost the industry more than $9.3 billion so far and the impact is being felt by dealerships, customers and workers. NBC News’ Maggie Vespa shares more.

They better go back to work… the corporations have already imported the replacements.
Give the illegals the right to work and They will work for a very low wage.
That’s a dream scenario for big corporations
troll
@JB’s Paint and Detailing that’s original..did you think it up All by yourself 😜
Better get back to work. This is partially why your president is allowing millions of -illegals- “undocumented” humans through the border. They’re already receiving work permits to be used for cheap labor. They have immigrant mentality, they work harder for cheaper, win win. “Who’s gonna scrub your toilets?” and “Pick you fruits and veggies?”
It’s the companies fault. Stop blaming the workers.
Go Union Go Bankrupt 😂
I’ll go bankrupt if I don’t.
@Ubchug 4Lifesheep
@Trucking with “Pirates Of The Trails”🏴☠️Bootlicker.
Blame the greedy company CEOs.
Both sides are greedy
not paying an arm and both legs for a car that breaks when it gets rained on, and then resists repair, costing thousands needlessly. I blame the companies.
Union quality is way below standard. Buy a Toyota or Nissan or even a Korean car that has a 10 year 100,000 mile warranty. GM put 6 year 100,000 mile warranty on their new 2.7 turbo pickup motor but how many people put 100,000 mile on a vehicle in 6 years, why don’t they have a 10 year 100,000 mile like Kia,Hundai, and Mitsubishi? The quality in U.S. cars is just not there anymore.
My introduction to unions happened when i was 16 in 1978. First job was at a grocery store. $75.00 to join and $5.00 a week was a lot for part-time kid. Store manager asked me to stay after i clocked out and continue working. I brought that up to the union rep in the store. He looked t me and said ” sorry kid, i cant help you” and turned around and walked away. Was a huge learning experience and made me realize that unios had drifted away from protecting employees. It was about money, nothing else. Union bosses get pais while you go broke. What a country. 😂
Its bad now here in the southeast as GM dealers have limited stock except the vehicles made in China, Korea & Mexico. I have a lease & they can not get parts for my new 2023 vehicle which was made in Canada & if they do not get it by next week i going to terminate the lease or crash the vehicle as I am sick of this & GM shi..y quality.
More and more American labor workers are getting lazy and incompetent. Foreign made cars are now much better than US made cars!
The higher wages (of most union members) goes to union dues (union org and union leaders who have inflated salaries). There are too many lazy and incompetent union members (& too many supervisors) even with government union workers; I would estimate, more than 40%. Union members get pay raises based on seniority, not on productivity. Replace them with foreign workers; the economy will be better in the long run!
Amen
Typical corporate media only showing the billionaires side. How about show the autoworkers that were struggling before the strike. They aren’t striking for no reason. What that UAW member in this piece needs to understand is that struggling a bit longer during this strike will mean a new and better future for the entire working class. His struggle rn won’t be for nothing. Trust! Real Americans support the UAW.
This strike would be over by now if the UAW all walked out at the same time in the beginning.
Unskilled Auto Workers
If Fain wants to run the Big 3 why doesn’t the UAW just buy the Big 3 and Fain can give his employees a raise. See how that works out. These people are biting the hand that feeds them. There are plenty of immigrants looking for work and they don’t need a Union or Union Dues.
