The U.S. needs credibility for the global economy to be stable: Expert

In an exclusive interview with Yahoo Finance, JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon says that, when it comes to geopolitics, U.S. political turmoil has “created a certain amount of uncertainty that I wish we hadn’t.” Eurasia Group Founder and President Ian Bremmer weighs in, saying that for global economic stability, “the United States has to not just display power, but has to display credibility, and that is the challenge.” Bremmer says the U.S. isn’t viewed as the democratic leader that it used to be, arguing that a big reason for that is “Americans increasingly don’t know what their country stands for. Americans increasingly don’t believe in their own political leaders… the division’s inside the Untied States.”
