October jobs report: How strikes could have dented labor statistics

The jobs report for October showed slowing labor growth as the U.S. unemployment rate slightly increased. The prolonged strikes from auto workers, Hollywood actors, and healthcare workers are significant contributors to the jobs slowdown, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics survey conducted during the middle of these strikes.
