Stellantis (STLA) will partner with Chinese battery manufacturer Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., or CATL, to open a EV battery factory in Europe. The automaker signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding, or MoU, with CATL to localize the supply of lithium iron phosphate batteries and cells to power the automaker’s EV production in Europe. It comes as a new report from Goldman Sachs, which predicts EV battery prices will fall a whopping 40% by 2025.
Yahoo Finance Senior Reporter Pras Subramanian joins the Live show to break down the partnership and Goldman Sachs report.

scam alert
scam alert, telegram spammers lol
they will make buying an ev cheaper than gas vehicles…. get everyone hooked then jack the price up in the name of supply vs demand.
Bingo
Yes, like OPEC+ does
Yeah good thing this doesn’t happen at all with a global gas supply. Once the battery is produced its in your vehicle and only requires electricity, which you can produce in your backyard unlike processed petroleum gasoline. EV tech is literally energy independence.
@@tehhiggins if you think electricity will make you energy independent you are misinformed sir. capitalism has NEVER made the end user “independent.”
Yeah nobody wants one of these stupid cars. They built this huge battery factories, and there is no demand for them whatsoever.
The other factor driving cost down will be new battery chemistries going into production and creating pressure on the ones being made now. I predict 3 new battery types per year for the next decade including solid state ones. Not all of those batteries will work well in cars but if they work in grid storage they leave more supply in the automotive space.
They are going too fall 80percent more people save on gas and then spend 25 or 50 thousand for a battery ya right musk in your dreams people have to be braindead what don’t they get DA!
The expensive unpredictable vehicle ya that’s what we need DA!
To zero ev is finished everyone is starting to realise the resale of an ev is zero so the ev rubbish throw away society changer is all over. Goodbye
Any where do I charge it ? No one in the industry understands that charging the car is the hold up of EVs
Lol garbage batteries that will be obsolete in the next two yrs for solid state batteries…..real story why they are going to lose price is they’re expecting them to become obsolete
