The leaders of Germany, France and Poland are calling for stronger military ties in Europe.
That’s after US Presidential candidate Donald Trump said he would not protect NATO member states that aren’t contributing enough funds to the alliance.

Many young soldiers’ lives would be saved, as well as the livelihoods of Ukranians. There’s no hope when being played out as the buffer zone between East & West. Peace negotiations MUST happen, before the US/EU renege on military aid.
@@jocelynevkb5889 After 2014, Ukraine could not and should not have been neutral. This country was attacked, part of its territory was annexed. Ukraine was looking for protection.
Before 2014, Ukraine becoming a neutral country would have meant that the Russian fleet would have to leave Crimea. There are no neutral countries in the world with foreign bases on their territory. And for this reason, Russia NEVER tried to make Ukraine neutral, Russia tried to make Belarus number two from Ukraine.
And yes, during the negotiations in Istanbul, Ukraine made it clear that in no case would Ukraine recognize Crimea and Donbass as Russian and that in order to negotiate neutrality, Russia must return to the borders of the conflict before February 24, 2022.
Once again, if Trump is such a existential threat to democracy the world over then why is NO ONE in the USA or anywhere trying to convince Biden to change his stance e on policies that are clearly losing him giant swaths of voters? Or he’ll why is no one in the Democratic establishment or in the international political community convincing Biden to step down and not run? Because it’s short sighted. The reason you want to protect your EU allies is to prevent Russia from claiming the EU bit by bit. If the USA simply stands by and breaks NATO pacts it’ll allow Russia to potentially absorb EUROPE. It’s in the USA’s own interest to prevent this.
If Russia succeeds, they will absorb the EU economy. Making theirs vastly bigger than the USA’s.
If Russia absorbs the EU Military, Russia will have a larger military than the USA.
If Russia claims The Netherlands. In the Netherlands is ASML. The ONLY company capable of producing Chip Machines that manufacture the most advanced Chips. They make the machines for ALL the worlds chip manufacturers, like Nvidia, Intel and AMD. These companies would collapse.
Russia would control the Mediterranean and all its major oil shipping lanes.

To boot all NATO members(and non nato memebers in the EU) are rapidly increasing their military spending. Many shooting past the 2% minimum within the next 1 or 2 years. It takes a little while to get that spending up. Can’t spend money on ammo if there’s no ammo factory yet. Stuff like that. Let’s not forget the USA’s budget is only 3.5% So, if they can reach ~3% soon i’d say all good.
Also, NATO isn’t just the USA defending other countries. It’s also if the USA got attacked the other countries have to help the USA. It works both ways.
There has only been one Article 5 case in NATO’s history and the Europeans have supported the US in Afghanistan. What you’re talking about is protection racket like in the mafia
