The European Parliament has approved an overhaul of immigration policies that harden entry procedures for asylum seekers.
The decision follows years of tensions and divisions and requires all member states to share responsibility.
Charities and NGOs say the reforms will not help migrants and refugees, while far-right parties across Europe say it doesn’t go far enough.
