There are refugees in Africa and else where, Rohingyas for example…. why a separate organisation for Gazans?… UNICEF by itself is enough…UNRWA is overlapping and hindering distribution of donations….
UNICEF only serves children. UNRWA are experts in the region and employed tens of thousands of local people, an essential part of providing aid while also giving an oppressed, dehumanised, humiliated people some of their dignity back. Their education, artistic and other activities, which other agencies are not designed to provide, are vital for going some way towards the repair of lives broken by repeated attacks on civilian targets, oppression, deliberate humiliation, settler violence, repeated displacement and devastating losses. They work to de-radicalise children and give them hope for higher goals than just getting back at the world for the losses of their homes, families and friends and the horrific sights they have seen and the hatred directed towards them from when they are babies. Only one, long-term presence can provide that stability and trust.
Medecins sans Frontiers provides hospitals and foreign medical staff, the EU and others provide schools in the West Bank. Israel destroys the buildings and kills the staff. Palestinian staff are there already, in danger already, not being asked to enter areas where horrors are being perpetrated on everyone, regardless of nationality or position.
When other agencies, such as Oxfam, try to provide Aid, Israel turns back their trucks for including such “dangerous” items as taps and water testing kits.
There are agencies whih specialise in providing food, or emergency survival kits. Unrwa specialises in providing EVERYTHING Palestinians need, either directly, or by organising what is needed.

The leader of UNICEF fully supports UNRWA. They have stated that israel’s propaganda threatens the basis of humanitarian aid worldwide and is a tragedy. UNRWA is the ONLY org with the ability to help palestine. They exist on the ground and have been for years. Attacking UNRWA is disgusting misinformation and breaks international law. Minorities worldwide support palestine, and would never consent to be used as a flimsy talking point by people like you. 😢

UNRWA must be shut down. It is responsible for much of the problem in gaza and the Palestinian Authority Controlled territories. Lazzarini is useless, and making rubbish rhetoric to try to keep his job. Israel controls Gaza now, and it will not allow UNRWA to exist there, and rightly so. The UNHCR does a far better job
