Because i only buy a few stock at a time right now ameritrade has done well for me as a long term investment account, and in spite of the fees I’ve come out on top the last three years. I have been looking for a better company that allows for quick trades without costing a bundle and seeing how many of you use it, I’m going to look into it myself. Thanks for an excellent video

Brand new to this. Have done a lot of research but still overwhelmed – lol. So, I started with Rainbow about 8 days ago, no trading yet I was learning how to use their platform. By the next day my account got closed. I emailed Customer Service, I received a timely automated response. Later the same day they did write back saying they were having a high volume of customer service requests and it might take 3 – 4 days. It is now starting the 9th day or possibly the 8th day and my account is STILL CLOSED. The last email communication they told me it was through a third 2nd party that closed it and they referred my request to them, but they have no authority to to hurry them up. I had indicated URGENT in the subject line. I went ahead and did a review on Rainbow giving them only 1 star. I made it clear in the comments it was clearly about very poor Customer Service, describing some of the above. Lastly, I wish when all of you doing videos, so kindly that I very much appreciate, would include when you discuss the fees, include other amounts I have read about and now cannot remember which companies were very high. They were fee’s to transfer or withdraw your money, or add deposits, I cannot remember what they all were, but damn they were significant. So it’s to me not just the dollar amount per trade when comparing broker platforms. I don’t even know if buy and sell is one or two trade fee’s. But I saw that one company made it a point to indicate they were better charging both as one trade as if others charge for both directions. Also, a video on how to use the trading platforms, or finding a training trader to use has been awful but will keep looking, I am not going to be a long term trader. I need what I have read to be labeled as a swing trader. I also felt Rainbow appears to be restrictive with what, when, and how many you can do if I understood anything at all before they closed my account. Also, why doesn’t anyone Review Charles Schwab’s trading platform. It appears decent to me. Okay this is too damn long, I do apologize! Warmest Regards – Dale

robin hood is good for under 1k but if you plan on moving more than 3k go to better broker it can get sticky with robinhood

Okay. I used to do ShareBuilder back when I was in Iraq about a decade ago. Did fairly well with Freddie Mae and Fannie Mac when the bubble popped. Buying for $1.00 and under, sold at $2.50+. Was investing every 2 Weeks at that time.
So haven’t done this is awhile. Decided Robinhood would be the play. We’ll see. It’s rather bare, but that’s okay. I’m a big boy now and can research on my own.
Not going heavy, started with $100.00 today, probably be doing between $100.00 to $500.00 a Month.
Went with TXN (Texas Instruments) because I’m looking at sustained companies with good Dividends, $92.99 for the Share. We’ll see what that ACTUALLY is when the Market opens in the morning.
What I liked about ShareBuilder was I could take $10.00 and buy what ever I wanted. A $10.00 Stock. Two $5.00 Stocks. 1/10th of a $100.00 Stock. I liked that, being able to buy a Fraction of a Stock.
So we’ll see how it goes, if I’m good with the platform or not. I should see if ShareBuilder is still around really, but heard about RobinHood here and liked the idea of them not charging per Trade.

Robinhood is NOT the #1 broker. I’ve been having lots of problems with them recently, mainly not being able to cancel options orders which means that I can’t get the money back that I put into the order and they have terrible customer service. NO MORE CUSTOMER SERVICE BY PHONE, ONLY BY EMAIL. It’s been 4 days and I still haven’t gotten a reply or my problem fixed which caused me to miss out on 3 days of trading! Also, their executions can be bad a lot of times, especially for options and I don’t rely care about this but they don’t offer short selling. Tastyworks might be the #1 broker.

Not very international as claimed at the beginning. Robinhood (US only); TDAmeritrade (US Only), Vanguard not for actve traders as you state; Fidelity: cannot trade individual stocks in the UK. Which leave only Interative Brokers.

I really liked Scottrade Elite platform much better than TD Ameritrades “Think or Swim” (I think that’s there elite name). Scottrade was MUCH simpler, but…. it was MUCH simpler! I think TD Ameritrades “elite” platform is way over complicated. I just want easy access to see several charts (live) I’m tracking and have very easy and fast trades…. like Scottrade Elite was.

I’d really like to start trading dividend stocks and start building creating some passive income. If I already have a Roth IRA through vanguard should I just trade dividend stocks through them, or do you think it would be wiser to go with a completely different broker, like Robinhood?

Thanks for the great content. I leave in German and currently use DEGIRO. Its quit good a broker with stocks commission fee ranging between 3-8 USD depending on which markets you trade. I recently open a white paper account with IB and plan to switch to a real account as soon as I get comfortable with their interface. As for Robinhood, they are currently not active in Germany.

I don’t know your experience but in 4 months I’ve learned a lot from more experienced traders. Eventually I got better at trade management and adjusted my trading system. Everyone needs help to become a true trader, and I am not sure if it is possible to get this help by watching strategic videos but in a real investment firm. As you have many more verified successful traders there to help manage your trade.
