How will he ever get by on $950,000.00 a week? Seriously, that’s just a mere $135,700.00 every day of the year so he is definitely a victim of corporate greed.
This gayguy really isn’t being overpaid, even at 99 million……..looking at Apple’s financials, they’ve made $99 billion in profit the past trailing 12 months……..so if the leader of the company gets 99 million, you’re giving him 0.1% of the profit, not outrageous. Few people can manage a company with 130,000 employees, while ensuring that kind of success.
It’s a commendable gesture that does nothing to address the real issues. When Apple starts recognizing the rampant exploitation festering in the low end of the supply chain they just might garner some credence as a voice of ethical stewardship.
They already know but don’t care.
Also, he needs that working with the enemy (China) by doing things like cutting off things like protesters AirDrop access and staying silent when a reporter confronts him about it makes people wonder if what he is doing is no more than PR smoke and mirrors. Protecting people like the San Bernardino, California shooter doesn’t score him any points, either.

When you are worth over $1.5 billion dollars and “only” going to make $49 million a year, it’s kind of hard to feel sorry for you. Based on a 40 hour work week, that is still about $25k an hour.
What we should do is give pay cuts to politicians who don’t fulfill what the promise when elected into office. Watch things get done then.
