As threat of tariffs loom, Chinese EV makers eye production in Europe

Turkey will raise tariffs on imports of vehicles from China by 40%, the country’s trade ministry said on Saturday.

To try to avoid such tariffs, Chinese EV makers are “scouting the European Union” for manufacturing sites, said Cedomir Nestorovic, professor of geopolitics at ESSEC Business School.
