Maybe they’re not swayed by the lesser of two evils argument, but they should be. Trump will encourage Netanyahu and he will be objectively worse for Palestinians than Harris. If punishing Harris for Biden’s lack of action in Gaza is more important to you than the fate of the Palestinian people, then by all means vote for Trump.

I ask myself,
“Who does Netyahu hope that I vote for?” and it clarifies my decision.
I also ask myself, which candidate will allow us as activists to resume our First Amendment Right to protest (which, trust me, will start back up immediately after this election) without the legitimate, direct fear of arrest, deportation, and fear of being shot or tracked in extreme ways we have not yet experienced.
This is the hardest decision I’ve had to make as an antig*nocide and Palestinian Independence activist for 18 years now.
But which is the better moral choice, I ask? :
1. To punish Harris, who does deserve to know our outrage, but simultaneously give Netanyahu (the 30-year puppet
master via AIPAC of all this) the FINAL solution of unchecked power via Trump to extinguish Palestine ( he will practically have a desk in the oval office with Trump in the White House )?
Or
2. To not fall for Netanyahu’s trap and understand that both/all parties fear AIPAC money and, worse, their political machine but that one party, the GOP, radically, vocally advocates for the destruction of Arabs in Palestine, are in bed with and have encouraged Netanyahu by giving him Jerusalem, etc., and create outright lies and far-right Christian propaganda to do so and to conversely vote for Harris who we will have far more leverage with as a first-term president? Do you think Harris will want to go down as a one-term-only loser president? If she defeated Trump, the GOP (after three post-Trump election losses) will likely sing back to center-right candidates to take back Harris’ current conservative coalition, forcing her to work to recapture the left/antigenocide vote.
At Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally, Rudy Giuliani literally spread the false lie that two-year-old Palestinians are taught to murder Jews, and those people applaud!
To think that more children will not be crushed to death like meaningless insects under Trump is just not rational.
So, as a voter in a swing state, I’m doing not only what I feel is morally right but is strategic: to not do what Netanyahu wants me to do, pick Trump or Stein.
If I were voting in a firmly Blue state, I would vote for Cornel West because he, unlike Stein, has been a steady activist for Palestine and does not show up every four years to run against Dems on the topic du jour.

It is very sad for American Palestinians, but there are many issues in this election. Everyone would like to have politicians to support their individual wishes, but the world isn’t like that. I think Harris will get tough on Israel and Trump will encourage them.
