BRICS expansion: Egypt, Iran, Saudi Arabia & UAE invited

Leaders of the BRICS alliance of five nations have invited another six countries to join. They are: Argentina, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The annual BRICS summit is being held in Johannesburg. The leaders of Brazil, India, China and South Africa are there, while Russia’s president is on video link from Moscow.
