0 A strong earthquake has hit central Croatia, with injuries reported as well as considerable damage to buildings southeast of the capital. The earthquake was felt throughout the country on Tuesday, as well as in neighbouring Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The European Mediterranean Seismological Center said a magnitude earthquake hit 46km (17 miles) southeast of Zagreb. Iran’s president has accused Israel of assassinating its prominent nuclear scientist. Hassan Rouhani says the killing of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh will not slow down Tehran’s nuclear programme. Gunmen ambushed a vehicle carrying him and his bodyguards, near the capital on Friday. Iran has promised retaliation, for what the president calls an act of despair by the enemy.
