Malians rally after army calls for protests over ECOWAS sanctions

Thousands of people have heeded calls by Mali’s military rulers for a nationwide protest against sanctions by the West African economic bloc, ECOWAS. The sanctions were imposed after the country’s military coup leader delayed elections – due next month – until 2025. No timeline as US to move remaining combat troops out of Iraq
