Medics in Myanmar on strike against military amid COVID-19 crisis

0 Public sector medical workers across Myanmar began a civil disobedience protest against Monday’s coup saying they would refuse to work under the new military government, threatening the country’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. On Wednesday, prosecutors filed obscure criminal charges against state counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi and her ally President Win Myint. The president’s accused of breaching coronavirus measures on the campaign trail last year; Aung San Suu Kyi’s charges stem from the possession of walkie talkies. US rejects Iran proposal for EU to help revive nuclear deal

SpaceX’s Starship test flight ends in fiery crash, again

0 US company SpaceX has carried out a second test flight of its prototype rocket, being developed to take humans to Mars. Things were going well until it tried to land. The Starship SN9 exploded in a roaring ball of flames as it tried to land upright after a test flight in Texas. The company said the test was an overall success because of the data it was able to collect. Starship is designed to transport people deeper into space than ever before and possibly take 100 people at a time to Mars. Iran completes satellite-carrying rocket test launch

0 Iran state TV has aired the test launch of a satellite-carrying rocket, which it said was able to reach a height of 500 kilometres (310 miles). A defence ministry spokesman said Zuljanah will be able to place operational satellites into orbit as US President Joe Biden considers reviving the 2015 nuclear accord.
